Nope, but yor don't need ab ripper since it's at the end of the lifting workouts. If you bought fromt he company, you might get them replaced.

I did cardio x last night... still waiting on my pull up bar to come in. What other discs can I do in mean time without the pull up bar before I officially start?

I have stated before on here that I am done with pull-ups. I did something to my bicep that I attributed to pull-ups and it set me back more than a few weeks. If you are going to do a back routine without a pullup bar, there are plenty of dumbbell exercises (you will get better results from pullups) to sub in until you get your pull up bar:

Lawnmower
Dead Lift
Back Fly
HeavyPants
Upright Row
Locomotion

KL- I assume that you have done insanity. I am currently training for a triathlon and would like to keep to a maximum of 6 days a week. Would it be obvious to me how to have one day a week for tri training (swim, bike, run) and incorp it into insanity?

There is one day off per week in the schedule for Insanity, and in addition to that I think the 4th day of the Insanity week is a "recovery" day but you are still doing cardio on those days. That recovery day would be an option for when you could do your tri training I would think. I have an excel spreadsheet with the calendar on it. If you PM me your email addy I will forward it to you. I have burned a couple of the discs for you and will try to get them to the post office on Saturday.

Started this past week. I have yoga today. My triceps feel like they are going to tear everytime I move my arms. It was all those damn push ups that did me in. The program is pretty good so far, the circut workouts in the strength make it challenging and I think every work out lets you take it to whatever level you need to based on your abilities. Not bad so far but not too hard, working out everyday and not letting life or fatigue get in the way will be the hardest part.

P90X Yoga is 90 minutes. I never have done it and do a different shorter yoga routine every week. I've been told at least make it to the first 45 minutes of it.

I disagree, pull ups are the best exercises for your back. Make sure to use the chair if you need to though.

I have had the P90X DVD's for about 1 1/2 years but have never used them. I was always waiting to get dumbbells so I could do it the "right" way, in my mind, since I didn't want to use bands. I finally got my dumbbell set last week. So, last night I did all my measurements and tonight I am doing the Fit Test. So, this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday I will be starting my P90X journey. Tonight I get groceries. Woot woot! I don't think I'll be able to follow the nutrition plan exactly as it is with my limited time at home during basketball season, but I will try to make healthy (and appropriate) substitutions when I have to.

Wish me luck! Is there some site where P90X people can track their progress online with other people? Or is it just a general discussion forum to talk? I wasn't sure if they had some kind of "If you're doing P90X, start your blog here" or something. Thanks!

I just created my profile under the user name "thePITman". My name is Andrew. I'm not sure how this works, yet, but I'm looking for familiar people to add as Buddies on the site.

Well, I started tonight. I did my Fit Test, got all the results, and was whooped at the end! It was only a few exercises, but I went all out as we're supposed to do. I can only imagine how much harder the videos are going to push me. But you know what, this is why I started P90X... something has to push me. I'm up for it! Here were my numbers:

Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 198.6
Body Fat %: 22.7
Pull-ups: 9 3/4
Vertical Leap: 22"
Push-ups: 33
Toe Touch: -4"
Wall Squat: 1:44
Bicep Curls: 17 reps at 25 lbs (dumbbells)
In & Outs: 40 reps
Jumping Jacks for 2 minutes - Heart Rate
- Immediately: 156 beats per minute (bpm)
- After 1 Minute: 122 bpm
- After 2 Minutes: 120 bpm
- After 3 Minutes: 116 bpm
- After 4 Minutes: 114 bpm

I'm also keeping a log in a Word document so I can jot down my own personal thoughts about each workout, my progress, successes, failures, worries, doubts, optimisms, and so on. Anyway, I'm glad to have started. I'll probably be frequenting this thread much more often now.

PIT, how are you going to record what you do each day? I have an excel file that acts as a calendar/schedule and a place to record weight/reps etc. It works pretty well if you have a laptop, and is easier than trying to write everything down. If you want me to send it to ya drop me a PM.
