1. Rick and the gang are in Virginia now but on the east coast, while they're in LA
2. Fear the Walking Dead starts about 3-4 months before Rick wakes up from his coma. I don't think it would work simply because we're looking at 2 different time frames.
It would have to be a group like the "claim" group that Rick bit the neck of.

50:1 says the Govt. is responsible for some kind of bio warfare testing gone wrong.

On a side note, I like this new show. Just by how things are going, I think we will end up seeing what happened.

You do realize it only takes 38 hrs to drive from LA to Virginia, right? They can advance the timeline of Fear faster than they did for The Walking Dead and easily have the two factions intertwine at some point.

ugh just saw the second episode. the whole silence/vagueness issue is just killing me. it takes 30 seconds to explain to your daughter why she cant go outside, but instead, I will just ignore her and stare into space.

I've also read they don't plan on explaining the outbreak like people are hoping. I hope that isn't true, its really the only reason I am watching.

I am sure a lack of gas and open roads, plus mass zombie mobs will make it hard for them to get there.

If you're not watching Fear The Walking Dead you're doing TV wrong.
After 2 episodes, not only is this a ridiculous claim, but I'm not sure the show has done anything to make people tune in weekly. It will get ratings simply because of The Walking Dead.

But aside from that, in no way does this show stack up with what is on Netflix, HBO and Showtime after just 2 episodes. You can't actually believe that people "are doing television wrong" by not watching, if they are watching shows like Daredevil, True Detective, Ray Donovan, Silicon Valley, House of Cards, Homeland, etc. If that's the case, I argue that YOU are doing television wrong.

I thought the first episode was very slow and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the second.

If they could find a car & gas in The Walking Dead (a complete wasteland), then I'm sure they can find a car & gas in a still-somewhat-together collapsing society.

None of the shows you listed Daredevil (Netflix), True Detective (HBO), Ray Donovan (Showtime), Silicon Valley (HBO), House of Cards (Netflix), Homeland (Showtime) are all premium television shows. Fear is basic cable. So, yeah, strictly speaking basic cable, yeah... if you aren't watching Fear, you're doing it wrong.

Of course there are going to be better shows if you're paying for premium services.

If you aren't paying for those services, you're doing TV wrong.

If you're paying for those services and not downloading the shows for free...you're doing TV wrong.

if that is the case, the LA people would have already found the GA people. but we know they didn't because we are what, 5 seasons into the walking dead? gas does go stale after a while. and in the walking dead, they really haven't driven that far. no more than 600 miles depending on where they actually are. its 2,600 miles from LA to Virginia.

Well, the old Latin man has it figured out.
He's be gone in the next three episodes.
