Surprised there wasn't a post already. Watched it last night, I really liked it. I liked not knowing anything going on and coming in fresh. Anyone watch, thoughts?

I enjoyed it. It was a little slow but I expected that to begin the story

I thought it was a little quick getting the people being sick etc.

Wouldve liked a much more in the past start to really see how this virus came to be.

I know that it might still be that, but this seems to be a worldwide epidemic after 1 episode. Seems rushed.

This is what I was wanting to see as well. It looks like it is going to focus a little more in detail on the rapid breakdown of civil society. Which I think most had that picture from the original series. I was looking for a few further steps back. Like some mixture of mad government/corporate power hungry scientists manipulating the do gooders seeking to improve the human condition via manipulation of DNA/genetics. Maybe flashbacks can still accomplish this but it doesnt look like that is where the writers are going. Still should be entertaining.

its starting to get annoying that they ignore things like news, social media etc when zombie outbreaks occur. and the step dad falls into a huge pool of blood, but calling the cops is out of the question.

This. I liked it. I'll continue to follow it. I thought the actor who played Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) did an excellent job. But like Laley23 said, I would have liked to have see more about how the virus developed.

I thought this as well. He reminded me of a really young Johnny Depp/James Franco

That'll probably be a 3rd spin off unless they cover it in this series.

Well I personally like the walking dead. I love seeing how they survive. I know this thread is about the new series, but I'm only on season 4. How many seasons are in the original series.

Very perplexing post.

If if only there was a thread about that series, or a way like google or imdb to look and see how many seasons are in the original series or some other punctuation mark that would indicate that a sentence is inquisitive.

Thought last night's episode was pretty good.

If you're not watching Fear The Walking Dead you're doing TV wrong.

I guess I will give this show a little longer, I was just hoping we would get some background into the how of the start of the apocalypse!

I think we all agree with this. I'm still holding out hope that more will be revealed / flashbacks. Going to be pretty disappointed if they don't answer/reveal this. Even if they don't, however, it's still a pretty good show. Who else is hoping for an eventual crossover where, say, a character from Fear ends up meeting up with eventually a character from Walking Dead? Bound to happen... right?

It might be kind of cool, but there's a few things that won't make it happen.

1. Rick and the gang are in Virginia now but on the east coast, while they're in LA
2. Fear the Walking Dead starts about 3-4 months before Rick wakes up from his coma. I don't think it would work simply because we're looking at 2 different time frames.

On a side note, I like this new show. Just by how things are going, I think we will end up seeing what happened.
