I'd say you're definitely the fool....slipped up somewhere in life where $399 will now break you. #boomerproblems

Bought this one in the 75L the other day, I'd rank it right up there with Yeti and Pelican. The code blue feature is great, keeps the kill and beer cold.

Makes fun of millennials for buying cheap replaceable products....Appalled somebody would spend $399 on a product that will last a lifetime.MontyBrunswick;1747465 wrote:Lol, fools
I'm not sure if this goes into the #boomerlogic or #dumbasslogic category.

It's no secret yetis will keep ice longer than most other coolers due to how thick the insulation is. My question I guess is do you guys really go places where you don't have access to ice for a week at a time?

not weeks, but if you're on a 30 hour fishing trip in the GOM, in July, you need a lot of ice to pack the fish. One of my good friends has the 420 qt Yeti, and he packs like 300-500 lbs of ice at the dock when we go out on a long trip. If it's just a day trip he'll get like 100 lbs. We don't use the Yeti like a tailgate cooler, it's merely ice storage for packing meat. We have also used that cooler to pack deer in after a hunting trip (because in Texas, it's like 70 degrees during deer season). There are practical uses for these coolers, just not a lot.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1748992 wrote:It's no secret yetis will keep ice longer than most other coolers due to how thick the insulation is. I don't doubt it. It seems like the market wouldn't be very big for people who actually need it. They've done well making people believe they need it.j_crazy;1749251 wrote:not weeks, but if you're on a 30 hour fishing trip in the GOM, in July, you need a lot of ice to pack the fish. Truest words i've heard about this. I have 2 Yetis, don't need either, but one was a gift from work so i don't feel too bad about it. I get the sentiment of this thread though. vdubb has a little extra cash, and has always wanted a really nice cooler. He probably knows he doesn't need this, but he wants it and to that i say:ZWICK 4 PREZ;1749252 wrote:I don't doubt it. It seems like the market wouldn't be very big for people who actually need it. Yeah no doubt.. his money, do what he wants with it. I get the other side of the argument too though. Do you really need it?j_crazy;1749254 wrote:Truest words i've heard about this. I did treat myself and it's awesome. Packed the thing thursday night full, beer/ice. Went to the lake and spent all weekend with friends/family and watched all of them make numerous trips back to the gas station for ice, as I laughed. Came home last night to a half full cooler of ice. Do I absolutley need this thing, NO. Is it sweet and I can afford it, YES.

i guess to me running to a gas station to pay $2 for ice isn't a big deal since i'm usually running for more beer/food anyways.vdubb96;1749262 wrote:I did treat myself and it's awesome. The size cooler I got w/ the liquor we were also drinking, there was no need for a beer run, nor ice!!!!

so it'll pay for itself after you use it only 200 times.vdubb96;1749262 wrote:I did treat myself and it's awesome. Packed the thing thursday night full, beer/ice. Went to the lake and spent all weekend with friends/family and watched all of them make numerous trips back to the gas station for ice,
