I disagree, to an extent. We got some very talented skill position players, and we have plenty of talent at the 3 deep depth chart this upcoming season at more than a few positions, so I'm very happy with who we got this year. I am disappointed we missed out on Hicks, Henderson, Moses, etc., but if Tressel has shown us anything, it's his ability to get the MOST out of his recruits, and so I've never bought into what Scout or Rivals thinks of our recruiting classes.

Yeah, its a bust in terms of not getting the quantity of guys at the OL spot. But our average was 3.61 and that is better than any team 10-16 ahead of OSU and even better than some teams inside the Top 10.

That's what some suggest when sleeper and ccrunner pull their stuff with repeating the same ND stuff over and over again.
says the notorious tard irish fan who believes charlie weis was a "bad play caller" last season

yeah, this bad player caller who just happen to land an OC job in the NFL a week after he is fired...that dang NFL always hiring poor decision makers to be offensive coordinators.

again, no need to get your panties in a wad since you were proven foolish.

This guy is too oblivious to even recognize when someone is sorta sticking up for him. LOL

Anyways. "Tard," eh? Nice comeback.

His playcalling was often predictable and unimaginative. The proof is in the pudding. He got canned, they lost their last 4 and usually didn't start putting up points until they were down 2 or 3 scores. He typically opened it up only when he had no other choice.

Was the guy a great pro coordinator? Yes. That dink-and-dunk shit worked in the NFL with that personnel that he had but it did NOT work the last few years at ND. It's like his balls fell off. His first couple years at ND....I loved his playcalling. He didn't appear to have the confidence in his players the last few years until the game was getting out of reach and he was left with no other option. I'm sure you'll cite their offensive YPG ranking and I'll come back with their PPG rank.

Not sure how my "panties were in a wad" either. Although that is a pretty cliche comment on here. Your insults=Charlie Weis' playcalling the last few years at ND. That comment was Robert Hughes on 3rd-and-1.

Honestly, I think you're Lep2002. I thought that on the old huddle. You go annoyingly overboard with your ND stuff (and it's not like we have a leg to stand on) and go out of your way to irritate OSU fans yet still find the time to gush over Florida and the SEC. Call me paranoid.....but I think you're Lep. Make people hate ND even more, bust on OSU all while making them think it's an ND fan and then watch those two fanbases that you hate argue with each other while you throw in your little subtle Florida/SEC worship. But it's all good. I don't need you to leave the site or anything though. Maybe since I'm such a "tard" you should add me to your ignore list.

Ohio State had an average of 3.61 which was about 6th overall up until the last few signed so not sure if we'll remain 6th but overall a high quality class.

I listened to the Buckeye show on the way home from work and Tressell said that he likes keeping the classes consistently the same size each year. That way you don't have the big ups and downs. Plus it was commented that Ohio State had 27 official visits and 18 signed with Ohio State. Again, they don't just throw offers out to anyone and see which one sticks. They try for the overall package, not just talent alone.

As for missing out on Henderson, Hicks, Joyner, James, Moses and other 5-star players none of them grew up Ohio State fans so we had an uphill battle to win.

sorry i am a big boy i dont need anyone to "sorta stick" up for me on a message board...
Anyways. "Tard," eh? Nice comeback.

thanks.
His playcalling was often predictable and unimaginative.

and yet the offensive production was top ten in the country...funny these defenses couldnt contain such a "predictable" and "unimaginative" play caller.
The proof is in the pudding. He got canned, they lost their last 4 and usually didn't start putting up points until they were down 2 or 3 scores. He typically opened it up only when he had no other choice.
he tried to run the team like an NFL offense, in case you were oblivious.

to put it simply, we didnt execute in key situations, were poorly conditioned, which inevitably led to our demise.

He didn't appear to have the confidence in his players the last few years until the game was getting out of reach and he was left with no other option.

like i said, in the beginning of the game he called plays similar to an NFL offense, ie ball control, time of possession, etc...he had to do this because our defense was absolute trash.
I'm sure you'll cite their offensive YPG ranking and I'll come back with their PPG rank.

like i said, we didnt execute in key situations. how many touchdowns were called back? how many INT inside the 20? fumbles? the list goes on and on of things charlie had essentially no control over.

Honestly, I think you're Lep2002.

your conspiracy theories are funny...
You go annoyingly overboard with your ND stuff
link?
go out of your way to irritate OSU fans
if osu fans get irritated at the truth, then that is their problem not mine.
yet still find the time to gush over Florida and the SEC.

the sec is the best conference and florida had the best recruiting class. if me stating those opinions are *gushing* then i suppose 99% of the recruiting experts are *gushers* as well...
Call me paranoid.....but I think you're Lep
.

naa, not paranoid. i think you are a weird old man, who lacks a knowledge of the key fundamentals of the game. further, the fact that you sit at home and think about these conspiracy theories leaves me questioning your sanity.
Make people hate ND even more,
i could care less who hates ND...geezus man, get a grip.
bust on OSU all while making them think it's an ND fan and then watch those two fanbases that you hate argue with each other while you throw in your little subtle Florida/SEC worship.

delusional, nutty, wacko...all these adjectives come to mind after reading this gem.

You know that you can click quote just one time, right?

You're asking for a link for your bullshit......

http://www.freehuddle.com/search.php?action=results&sid=5ba64ab12212f42d4b472149f5d574ad

There ya' go.

Sure, defense had a tough time stopping his offense.....late in games when he opened it up because they were down 2 or 3 scores. And why try to put a circle where a square goes? He tried and tried to impose his dink-and-dunk pro-style offense and yes it was predictable early in games. In case you were oblivious.....college football isn't the NFL. Just like his business-like approach didn't translate well to the college game....neither did his offense the last few years with the personnel he had. They put up a lot of yards and some points late in games but they could've been tied or ahead by that point if he didn't go out and call his unimaginative plays early on.

And when you say you're a big boy....do you mean you're a grown up or a fat ass? Please elaborate.

Oh, and I'm only 31 years old. Not that old. Some days I feel older though.

Now feel free to splice my post into a dozen or so quotes, Lep.

His playcalling early in games in college football was bad IMO. In the pro's....the guy was money. That seems to be difficult for you to comprehend.

good day, gain knowledge of the game if you want to discuss it in the future. ta ta...

And here I thought you were already "done hijacking this thread."

Who did you prove wrong? There are people on here that I dislike more than you.

No Henderson. No James. No Moses.

Going into today, I never would have thought that would happen.

Tressel and staff better be recruiting O-linemen like crazy for next year's class.

OSU still has a decent class that filled most needs, but I really wish they would have got a couple more key players.

What's the word on Anderson? Definitely visiting USC and then making a decision? If that's the case, I'm sure Kiffin will get him. He somehow managed to still get Henderson, even after Carroll and his staff left. I thought for sure that when he left for Seattle, USC was out of the race for Henderson. Can't believe that he ended up there.

Anderson will not be coming to Columbus unless he's visiting his buddies from Glenville. JT is set with the 18 he has coming in leaving 2 open schollies for preferred walk-ons which he does every year.
