darby, Meyer still looks up to Earle very much. They visited last summer in Cincy. Meyer's dad and sister live there, his sister is faculty at UC. Earle is the man who gave Urban his first coaching job. They have a great friendship, hopefully they can get more time to hang out.

Not sure how accurate it is, but I read that CB Bradley Roby is going to de-commit from Vandy and commit to Ohio State in the next few days.

Also, a lot of people saying that Jordan Hicks is making his decision soon, and it's likely that he's going to Gainesville to enroll at UF early. How the hell is Meyer getting this done?

Interview in a Philly newspaper has Shariff Floyd saying that OSU was his choice until he changed his mind after his visit to UF. That one still hurts.

I'm almost positive Hicks won't be enrolling early. I'm almost positive he plays basketball for his HS team, and I doubt he'd just leave in the middle of the season, but I could be wrong about that.

I hope that's the case, HighRoller74. Would like for Tressel to have his in-home and make one last pitch for the Buckeyes, even though it might not matter at this point.

I agree. Would love to land Hicks, but out of all the guys we are still in for, he's the ony guy we don't really need. He'd be more of a luxury.

Yeah LB is definitely one position that the Bucks should feel comfortable about.

Need Henderson and Bryant in this class, and anything else is just a bonus (Roby or James). At least that's what I'm telling myself after yesterday's events.

Roby should be committing to OSU soon. No official news has been released since they need to wait for the visit to be entirely over.

The guy was a 1st teamer in Georgia's largest division for football. Great speed and frame.

devil1197,

Have you heard anything about Henderson seriously considering Florida? I'm seeing a lot of comments about how Powell was recruiting him hard to UF during the Army All-American week and he may have been listening. I thought OSU was in good shape after the Carroll/USC situation. I swear, if Henderson ends up anywhere other than Columbus (especially if it's Florida), I'm gonna be severely ticked.

Also, is there any truth to the rumor that OSU has been in contact with Dillon Baxter? I think he made a comment about OSU and UM contacting him after the Carrolll story broke. Is there any chance that he would be interested?

Hopefully things are still looking good for Bryant and James. Roby should be (hopefully) a nice addition.

^ Hendersons father wasn't impressed by the coaching shannanigans that took place at florida... but if Urban swayed three top DL recruits after that happend I'm sure he could do the same to Henderson. Fortunately I think we are looking as good as anyone for Henderson right now. I think this one still has a long ways to go.

Henderson to OSU is looking very good.

Over on the prem. Bucknuts forum I guess radio station in FLA is claiming that Meyer cheated on his wife with a 23 year old lol. I know its not the most reliable but I also thought Tiger wouldn't be a GOAT at cheating on his wife either.

Also, there are a ton of people that are not buying Meyer's BS story.

That is just one article.

There is no doubt in my mind that there is more to the Meyer story than his health. First thing I thought of when he resigned was that he was cheating and his wife said you either quit and make our marriage work or I'm gone.

I hate that that was my first thought, but it is what it is.

If it is something different or funny going on it would be optimal if it all blew up before Feb.

Jeremy Foley must be one of the luckiest AD's ever. Remember Billy Donovan, taking the Orlando Magic job, then changing his mind and coming back to UF?

Now Urban Meyer changes his mind (supposedly without telling his family first) and they're raking in big-time recruits like crazy. That whole story definitely seems kind of weird.

You're not alone in your thoughts, because the same thing occured to me. Us OSU faithful have to keep in mind that to an 18 year old kid UF is a pretty easy sell. Couple that with a charismatic guy like Meyer, and it's no wonder they have great recruting classes. However, if a kid can be talked out of going to one school by a fellow student athlete, then let him go, because to me, I don't feel they were ever seriously committed to OSU in the first place.

I think he coerced both coaches into coming back.

I don't think Hicks is a Gator. There are 11 early enrollees today and he is not one. Texas EE date is next Monday. I still am not sure, but I thought he wanted to EE. Jackson Jeffcoat cancelled his Florida visit next weekend. Florida had 2 visitors this weekend, Moeller QB Hendrix was one. Florida is signing 28, have 4 schollies left. Maurkice Pouncey, Dunlap, and Major Wright are NFL draft bound. Kids who want to play with other great players are calling wanting to jump on the bandwagon. I still think Henderson is a Buck. How many spots does OSU have left ?

OSU will take 20 and have 16 committed. I think they end with Henderson, Roby, James, and Bryant.

Florida will need all the great recruits that they can get their hands on, alot of talent at major positions leaving.

Florida defense could be more of a 3-4 next year under George Edwards. The def. recruit class right now is the best I've ever seen anywhere. A couple will probably play offense.

Henderson, Roby, James, and Bryant. I like OSU closing with those 4

No real big news today.

Rumors were running wild about a Hicks commitment to Texas and OSU, but he came out today stating that he hasn't made his decision. He will begin to narrow it down tomorrow and hopes to decide soon.

Dominique Brown, 3* ATH 6'3 215, is expecting a call from Tressel any day now. He was committed to UC but later withdrew his verbal.

Henderson is looking better and better everyday, on Rivals one proclaimed insider not affliated with OSU said that Henderson has silent verbaled to OSU but I don't buy it just yet.

I won't.

Around this time I'll buy subscriptions to Bucknuts, Rivals, and Scout just for the recruiting season.

I only post what I read.
