Just because the candidate is pro life, believes in traditional marriage, or talks about God there is really very little they can do as president about it. Roe v Wade has stood for over 40 yrs and there have been pro life presidents that have served during that time. Gay marriage would play out the same way. I am guessing every president in recent history has invoked God at some point or another. As you said democrats have some of the same beliefs. The religious discussion was mostly prompted by the so called moderators and you and sportschampps get worried what your age group or circle of friends will think. I am certain this was not brought up by the so called moderators because they wanted to learn more about the candidates relationship with God Lol. The abortion discussion was warranted given current events with the release of the PP videos. Scott Walker was grilled on his pro life beliefs by Megyn asked him directly if a woman should be forced to die because of them. He has been governor of Wisconsin for years and nothing close to this has ever happened. PP is selling baby parts in violation of federal law and she is concerned about something that is not occurring anywhere in Wisconsin or this country?

My president needs to be politically correct 100% of the time. He needs to say the right things even if he does nothing. Actions speak louder than words? Nah, I jsut want to vote for whoever is a Republican. I hope he has a lot of commercials too. I like when he puts the Democratic candidate down in his ads.

and you hit the nail on the head about Trump. every other candidate is the typical politician who doesn't stand their ground and is too worried about being PC. if Trump had some better plans/policies, he would be a viable candidate. In the last republican primary I voted for Ron Paul. I had big disagreements with his foreign policy but appreciated his unpopular honesty on the subject. I did agree with enough of his domestic policy however. I see value in people who go against the grain of politics. The republicans have the pompous ass Trump and the democrats have the disheveled looking grandfather Bernie Sanders. I'd take Bernie over the lying hag Hillary any day by the way.

In the end I get left with two viable candidates. I can vote for one of them and do my civic duty or I can vote for some unelectable third party candidate or just abstain. Doesn't matter anyways because if I can't vote for the democrat candidate I am a republican leg hummper.

I don't truly care about having the LGBT community or marijuana on the national stage for political posturing. To me, that sort of stuff is very low on the priority scale as compared to other things. I'd much rather have a President be more concerned with other things like foreign policy, national finances, protection of US citizens, etc.
Honestly... I can't imagine putting things like interest in marijuana before foreign policy lol, gawd! And if that's what you're looking for in a President, well... then you're just going to keep on getting what you have been and will never get anything better. Rightfully so, I might add.

I don't care about kow-towing to mega corporations or unions. I don't care about doling out appeasement to the LGBT community or to the folks who just want to get high. Doing so is just silly and nonsensical, even if you are a transgender who likes to get high will teaching at a local highschool while moonlighting as a messenger for the Koch brothers. I'm surprised Fiorina has made that big a move, since I'd assume not many people watched the debates (much less the first one).

I also didn't see anything in Ben Carson's performance to justify that kind of bump....but LOL maybe his tithe "tax rate" struck a chord with the right-wing religious nuts.

I still think Trump's numbers are a good chunk of people trying to send a message to the other candidates and eventual nominee. The thought of that asshole anywhere near the Presidency should scare the hell out of any non-moron.
