I think 40 for 4 seems OK for Shump, but I don't think it would have mattered. Cavs had to retain him at this point. Once Love and TT signed long term there's $100+ million committed to 5 players alone for the next 3 seasons (assuming Lebron keeps opting for 1 year deals until at least 2017 to maximize his $$$). Going to be maxed out even when the cap explodes, so any contributors already on the roster need to be held onto even when looking 3-4 years ahead.
