TT isn't one of the big 3. The Cavs had to give TT that contract to a) keep him and b) keep Lebron happy. No one expects offense from TT.

We do expect one of our big 3 players to play well though, especially in the NBA finals.

It'd be nice if Love had a 35/15 game and won us a game, especially at this level. His best games are 25/12. And he doesn't take over games. He hits the open 3 and rebounds.

Same could be said about kyrie by the way. It would be nice if kyrie just goes off in game 3 and we win comfortably. Unfortunately, I don't see either player winning us a game. Gonna have to be Lebron...again.

He very well could have been instrumental in getting that trade done, but he was already signed back in Cleveland before the Love trade.

True, there could have been some back channel talk/tampering before he signed about getting Love in a trade but I think it would be a stretch that he signed solely on that 'promise' it would happen

Lets beat that dead horse one more time...

No Love/Wiggins deal, no JR, Shump or Mozgov.
Stuck with Bennett and Waiters.
Jefferson likely signs elsewhere.

If they do end up trading Love, they need to get more athletes with length. OKC showed us that is what it takes to challenge these guys.

However, it is likely though that next year we see a different supporting cast in Golden State. Barnes, Speights are probably elsewhere.

sleeper said because Love is a max player...so is TT. They make the same amount of money (TT might be higher since he is just signed this off season). Love gives the team more for his salary than TT does

Kyrie isn't a max player. He's close but not fully max and he is better than Love.

Lebron was great. His team missed shots.

TT is overpaid. There is hate but he's not expected to light up the scoreboard like max contract player Love who never wins any games by himself.

TT is not a max player. He is at 80% of the max, vastly overpaid by a long shot but not a max player.

Your first part is entirely hypothetical. We don't know what kind of moves we could have made with keeping Wiggins.

What isn't hypothetically is how much better we would be with another $22M not wrapped up in an non-athletic white guy who can't create his own offense. Seriously, does anyone see Love doing what freaking Draymond Green did for his team in the NBA finals? No. He's overpaid junk and needs to go.

You're missing the point. There's more expectations from Love, being one of our big 3. There's ZERO expectations of TT, other than to grab some rebounds. They're both sucking.

Pretty incredible to compare Love, a 3 time all star and 2 All NBA teams, a player we traded two #1 overall picks for, and a max contract to a player who was drafted 4th overall, has never been relevant on the big stage and isn't even a max player. TT is what he knew he was; he just happens to have Lebron's agent and was able to get paid.

Love needs to do more. TT too, but this is on Love.

Better ball movement is #1 to me.

I feel they need to stay all over Curry and Thompson because they can go off quickly and anywhere. I'd give Draymond some kinda open looks hoping for him to have one of those 4/13 nights. If hero ball is a must I'd have Lebron go at AI all night. I think the Cavs get a share of calls at home.

With all of that J.R. has to be somewhat of a factor on both sides. Kyrie and Love being pretty good on offense and not awful on defense.

Lue has to resemble a coach.

Do all this and they still probably lose on a banked in 3 by Draymond.

If you're going to point out the technicalities of how TT got paid, perhaps mention that Kevin Love could have had a max deal from about a dozen other teams. Was Cleveland suppose to not offer him a max deal?

Has anyone laid out what their expectations for Love? Other than "He's apart of the big three and makes max money!" How would your expectations fit in with JR Smith, Irving, and Lebron who all they can think about is shooting the second the ball touches their hands.

Alright it's game day. I'm expecting a loss and thus a sweep. Our shooting sucks and our defense has gone silent.

I'm flying from Charlotte to Cleveland sitting two rows behind Sonya Curry. She flies economy.

Is it the players' union or the league that has the concussion protocol in place?
