everything on the economy. He made some hard line points that tells me he will do whats right for the country and not what looks good politically.

Donald Trump is running second in Iowa and New Hampshire. Establishment Pubs are pulling their hair out but they can't figure it out because he is saying all of the things that the millions of talk radio listeners actually believe.

its funny how people think that Trump is terrible. He would tear Hilary a new one in a debate. She is so toxic that it doesnt matter who runs. Pubs win.

The CNN panel this morning was literally foaming at the mouth over Trump.

Probably because he is not a ***** and has no filter. He is going to say whatever is on his mind. It will make for great tv.

Looks like the GOP has their 200th candidate in kasich. All being said I would take Paul first then kasich. I think kasich could do really good things with this country. He has a good track record.

I like Kasich,... maybe a little to much of a RINO, but he'd be a whole lot better than having a 'progressive' agenda rammed up our asses for another 4 years. More than that, he's pragmatic in what can be done. I like his style in promoting what he thinks is right, but when he is beaten, he moves on (like state issue #5)..."the people have spoken". Clearly, he values what the "people" say, unlike others who continue to press an unwinnable position. He is a uniter, who will move the country forward, just as he has done in the state of Ohio.

I've had enough of a Prez that values his personal agenda more than moving the country forward according to the will of the people. I'm tired of being divided into groups and pitting the interests of one against the other.

I like Paul as well. After that when it comes to solid governing I like Walker. I have a small issue with Kasich. But overall not a large problem. Would likely vote for him.

And this is my small issue (not so much with Kasich). I am not a fan of direct democracy. Its a foolish way to govern. The average voter is easily confused by the legaleeze professional lawyers draw up in these "issues". I realize states have their own laws and that is fine I respect that but our founders established a representative republic. State governments are formed in the same manner but are not obliged to follow however. I understand Kasich standing down politically in this case.

That is why I said it was a "small" issue. In the grand scheme of what is happening politically today I agree.

THe pubs will likely have to have a Bush/Kasich ticket to win Florida and Ohio.

Hardcore conservative pundits have been trashing John Kasich since his official announcement yesterday with Erick Erickson for example going so far as to say that he wouldn't vote for him because he is basically a liberal democrat on par with Hillary.

Would most Republican voters in Ohio feel this way? Not a chance.

These right wing pundits make their living off of the No True Scotsman fallacy.

For heaven's sake Kasich had been trying to eliminate the Ohio income tax but was rebuffed ultimately by other Republicans who were resistant to higher consumption taxes...but oh wait he is a liberal because he accepted the obamacare money and didn't hem and haw about it.

These right wing pundits who make everything a conservative purity test are harming the party IMHO.

Don't be fooled that Kasich does not have a personal agenda that he has, and will try again to push....hard.

Remember the Senate Bill 5 beatdown, his 'Get on the bus, or get run over' comment, etc.

He has an agenda....he'll just keep it to himself, or lie about it until elected. Then he will push it forward....just as he did once elected Governor
