Hamilton is an important piece to our current monetary system and served as the first Secretary of the Treasury in US history. He's a pretty important figurehead and deserves to keep his recognition. Are people "upset" by this? Think of it this way; were you upset that Jacobs field was renamed to Progressive field? Why would anyone be upset about that, it doesn't affect anything! See my point. Disagreeing with people and generating discussion on pointless topics used to be common place in America and now its simply how can we make people out to be a racist/sexist/communist/homophone etc. by having a different opinion.

it's become anything to keep to keep these divisive social issues on the forefront....and it happens way too often to think it's random. We are trying way too hard when we are changing faces on currency just to be politically correct. Just look at the topics here on the OC that have been getting the most play.....Bruce Jenner and transgender, who is on the $10 bill, and the confederate flag. Really? LGBT issue, women's issue, race issue....People were starting to see through the "war on(fill in the blank)" ploy......needed a fresh angle to keep the waters roiling.
