Trump is thumping people in the polls and he hasnt even started talking about his wheelhouse subject. When he starts in about creating jobs and lowering the national debt......his stock will rise more.

yeah, well, Ben Carson is now running neck-and-neck...and I thought he was terrible in the debate. Carly Fiorina is now 3rd....which basically goes to show how much people want a non-politician.

I can't stand Cruz. Way too early for predictions, but it looks like ultimately it will be Cruz or Rubio. Hopefully Rand Paul finds a way to get up off the mat.

Yes, still way too early. But a Kasich/Rubio ticket would not surprise me and possibly could win, although with the non-producers now just about out-numbering the producers, the math (especially electoral math) is far from their favor.

I see no indication that Cruz has a chance of winning.

He's the leading "politician" right now. Plus, he would pick-up more than his share of votes from Trump and Carson.

Assuming neither Trump, Carson nor Fiorina get the nomination that leaves Cruz as one of the clear favorites, currently.

Seems like the best ticket for a victory IMHO - Kasich with a strong Domestic Policy Record and Rubio with the hawkishness that the Neocons like. The question is would Conservatives support it? So far I have seen Erick Erickson say he would refuse to vote for Kasich and Rubio has almost been excommunicated for his attempt at Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Both are perceived to be "soft" on immigration by the hard right. Would the Conservative base take this as the final "betrayal" by the establishment?

What does Hillary do in response? Does she go with another old white guy in Jim Webb in hopes of locking down Virginia or go with one of the Castro brothers hoping it will help her in Colorado and Nevada?

If you listen to talk radio or read conservative commentary the theme seems to be the hope that Ted Cruz will pick up what is leftover from Fiorina, Carson and Trump. Not sure who a good running mate would be for him - probably a midwesterner?

He's unelectable, IMO. He may appeal to a large percentage of primary voters, but I think he gets crushed in the general no matter who he picks as his VP....he's got this creepy sort of Penguin meets Jerry Falwell thing going.

I think Paul and Rubio are both excellent VP choices. Possibly Fiorina.

I agree he is bombastic, but most of what he says is accurate. Good to see someone in a political race who is not afraid to say what needs to be said (in many cases).

^^^...and he's says what shouldn't be said too much also. I'll be disappointed if he is the nominee....so many other good people running on the "R" side to settle for that.

^^^ I agree. My preference would be something like Kasich/Rubio; they are among the best we have in the race, not to mention we absolutely have to win Ohio and Florida to have any chance.

Personally as a Democratic voter I think that is the best ticket to win and would be very attractive to non-partisans. But, I feel like people on the hardcore conservative right will howl about them being "RINOS."

Erick Erickson at Red State has said he wouldn't vote for John Kasich. Ann Coulter and the immigration hawks have all but abandoned Rubio. Would conservatives really die on that sword and let Hillary win?

I wouldn't, but I've talked to a number of people that say they would. If and when push came to shove I would hope that not be the case.

These wine soaked slut bags couldn't name a single issue but "he will make the country great again" ... And maybe he will but so far he hasn't let us in on his secret plan. Maybe tomorrow night...
