10 lbs of pressure released is huge. I can't believe the responses here. The Pats are gonna take it hard up the rear on this one. And so is Brady. No different than using juiced balls in baseball when your team is hitting.

I'll remember your post. It will be a minimum of 8 games but most likely the whole season. To me, cheating is as bad as it can get.

There is no proof that Tom Brady cheated. The findings only state that he probably knew the balls were deflated. Good luck proving that.

So the text exchange about free shoes and autographed merchandise in exchange for the balls being deflated to his liking were fake?

No, but there is no concrete proof that Brady had anything to do with it. I'm not saying he didn't(I'm sure he did) but unless there is actual proof of Brady saying he would give them shoes, jerseys, etc. for the deflation of the balls, there isn't much the League can do. They will be acting on a report that says probably. They can suspend him, he will(most likely) appeal, and be back on the field.

1. He will be suspended for some amount of games.
2. It was not 10 lbs. Imagine that, Failwedge failing at math again.

10 lbs? WTF? The ball would collapse on itself.

Sound like something everyone pushes the limits on. Rodgers already admitted it, and now this about the Colts...
The Wells report also points out that Gardi’s comments about the Colts’ game balls was not accurate. On one of the two gauges used to test the footballs, THREE of the four Colts balls tested were UNDER the limit of 12.5 PSI.
Yawn.

The fact that not a single current player gives a shit about the deflated balls tells me that this happens everywhere.

I don't even know why this is a rule. As long as they are using an NFL sanctioned football, who gives a shit how it's inflated? Let each team/QB play with it however it suits them best.

If you've ever played football at a position that handles or kicks the ball, you'd know why air pressure in the ball is important (high or low depending on what you want/need) and why it can be an advantage.

Yes... I know this. But just let all teams do whatever the fuck they want with the ball. If one way or the other creates and advantage, just let all teams do it. Who gives a shit?

oh fuck off....its not a murder trial...beyond a reasonable doubt doesn't matter...common sense does though. Its obvious Tom wasn't happy with the balls being inflated and the guy was so concerned about them being deflated properly he paid the guy off with swag and autographs.

I think you need proof to hand out punishment. Sure, it's not a murder trial. But it seems to be a precedent I wouldn't want to set for how the league handles punishments.

The NFLPA will have a field day with it if the League decides to punish him without proof.

So the only proof you accept is if the guilty party admits to it?

Text exchange clearly indicates Tom was pissed about the balls not being deflated enough.

As far as I know, there's no concrete proof that Greg Hardy assaulted his GF and he has been suspended. Still don't think Brady does/should get suspended.

Then the report should clearly show the proof and not say that he probably did it. I have no problem with punishment, but not on a report of probably.

No, but does anyone know the standard of proof under the CBA the NFL would need to punish Brady?

Also, the texts come no where close to indicating Tom wanted the balls under 12.5. Did he probably want the balls under 12.5? Probably. But if nothing else the texts just showed that Tom whined about the balls being inflated too much.

So Brady vehemently denies knowledge of deflated footballs prior to the Super Bowl, knowing full well that cheating is a real no-no. He gets busted after an investigation, and now he gets a 2 game suspension or less? LOL.

All I have to say is shame on him for ruining his legacy. Typical Michigan shit bag. What's a shame is that he didn't need to cheat to win.

Also....this for Laley...it's being widely reported that Brady will get a full year suspension.
