sounds pretty good to me.....maybe the Browns oughta try that formula.
Great, the best players locked up for years. Looks like 3rd place in the AL central is a lock now!

Maybe only a dozen games or so, but this team looks like a sorry bunch. Bad baseball all the way around. Maybe SI did em in.

There's a difference between "looks like" and "is". We go thru this every year...every team goes thru losing streaks and bad stretches ALL SEASON LONG. Heck, this isn't even a losing streak. In fact, it's a mark of a good team if they break up a losing streak with a win every few games in a stretch when a team is going thru tough times...injuries slumps etc etc .
The team is off to a rough start, no doubt, but it's very early to label them "bad" yet.

Everything is magnified at the beginning and end of the season. That's when the masses are paying the most attention. A 4-7 stretch over 11 games in June/July hardly registers as a blip.

From August 5th to August 15th, the World Series champion San Francisco Giants lost 7 of 9 games including 5 in a row.

They lost 6 in a row from July 24-July 29.

From June 23rd to July 4th, they went 2-8 over a 10 game stretch.

It goes on and on. They had another 1-7 stretch and an additional 1-9 stretch.

The point is the season is ridiculously long. We get so excited for the beginning of the season that we get disappointed if things don't start off gangbusters but this is no big deal. Our starting pitching has been pretty good. If that continues, the wins will start piling up because the offense will get going (by Tribe standards)...especially when back to full health.

If you are on the ledge...remove yourself. It's too early.
