Unfortunately, as much as I like the guy, I don't think Jordan is going to be much of a FS wrestler. He is amazing in Folkstyle with his top control and turns, but in Freestyle you need to be much better on your feet than he is (saw too many mistakes when it comes to finishing shots).
I hope I'm wrong, but Stieber and Snyder have a chance for gold down the road.
Stieber's only problem is that the US is crowded around his weight in Freestyle (143.3 lb, 65 kg). Metcalf, Oliver, Pico, Humphrey just to name a few. Oliver has been doing Freestyle only for 2 solid years since his NCAA career was over, Stieber has been doing FS only in Spring/Summer and will have to try to catch up to him and Metcalf. Pico is the other interesting one, a HS kid that is just a phenom.
Snyder is in a tough spot weight wise. Wrestling 197 in college but the weights for Freestyle are 189 and 213. I don't know how much he was cutting to get to 197 but he would be a small 213 either way (he did junior world FS at 211, so doubt he could make 189).
It will be interesting to see if either of those 2 can make the Olympic team for 2016. I know Snyder will be taking an Olympic RS to try it. Tomasello will wait until after college to probably try for 2020.
Hopefully they do well in the Olympics. Do you think any of them will do well at the pro level?
