They thought he'd be a good fit at WR. This isn't the only site that thought we should bring him in. People get too attached emotionally and don't think with their heads when it comes to some of these players.

exactly. cribbs and ginn are the same player. if the browns hadn't re-signed cribbs then I'd be all for the browns targeting him.

Interesting. In the Browns chat last night on the OBR, they had an outside NFL analyst who said we've been hearing a lot of smokescreens. At #7, they are trying to decide between Derrick Morgan & Dez Bryant. They apparently like Tebow and not so much McCoy.

Most people on here only know of the legend that is Jim Brown, not the man Jim Brown. Times have changed, what was a more or less accepted/easliy overlooked part of a sports figure isn't what it used to be given TMZ/National Enquirer BS...

But yeah, I'd be mehh anyway ;)
After pkebker's post.....I thought it was a hypothetical worth asking.

From what I'm hearing, anyone who wants Tebow will have to trade back into the 1st round. I've heard he won't get past Minny at #30.

The Derrick Morgan/Dez Bryant shit is what is pissing me off. That, to me, is Mike Junkin-esque in a draft selection.

I couldn't agree more. If Berry is not there, I like Haden or Thomas. I almost think I would rather have Claussen than Dez Bryant.

If this happens (Bryant or Morgan), I will flip my lid. I'm getting a bunch of teeth drilled tonight and if this is how it's gonna go down, the dentist might as well stick the needle in my eye or my temple. It will be less painful.

BTW...off topic but I think I may have seen a man die yesterday.

It was kinda messed up.

I was driving up a hill towards the metro parks (near the Warrensville Hts/Solon area) and I see 3-4 cars stopped in my lane and a pickup truck with it's door open in the middle of the road. I see this black thing lying in the road and, being an animal lover I'm like "oh shit, someone hit a dog. I don't want to see this."

As I get closer I see the front end of the pickup is totaled and it's a guy lying on the ground. He was flailing around and a couple of people got out to help him. I sat in my car for a couple of minutes (since he was already being helped) and soon the flailing stopped and he went still. I don't know if he was in the truck or the truck hit him or what.

What happened to Bryant being off the Browns boards? That would be the worst possible pick.

the browns have alot of holes to fill. and they probably cant fill them all in this draft. as long as they take the best player available, they should do alright.

No to Morgan for me.....rarely can you take a de/lb and try to turn them into the other. We all saw what happened with players like Wimbley, Bobby Carpenter, Vernon Gholston, Tamba Hali, etc.... Sometimes you'll see exceptions (like Mike Vrabel and James Harrison), but most of the time it seems that it is an epic failure and ruins careers. If you're a defensive end in college you should be a 4-3 end in the pros. If you're an outside linebacker in college, then you can be a 3-4 linebacker in the pros.

Since the talent at OLB is thin the Browns should be drafting one of 3 players. Berry, Thomas, or Haden and I could live with CJ Spiller (though I'd be disappointed). Anything else would be a complete miss IMO. Bill Simmons made a great point in his mock draft about taking safeties. Teams are afraid to take them early because they don't want to give a safety that much money. Do you think Reed and Polamalu and Sanders are worth the money for their teams? Look at the four teams to reach their conference championship games (Saints, Vikings, Jets, Colts). You're talking about Ed Reed, Tyrell Johnson, Kerry Rhodes, and Bob Sanders. All very good safeties. A great safety is key to a great defense.
