Bein sports is huge for me. USMNT games and La Liga!

If I wanted to go dirt cheap I could probably get by for $40 for internet and then use those "illegal" sites to stream tv shows (which solves the DVR issue for a bit of minor inconvenience).

But for $40 PLUS this service, I'm already at $60 when I can get HD with DVR, including HBO and 200+ channels, for $80. Ehhh, the cable is practically free when you factor in the value of free HBO.

But if you only have a choice of one provider you get screwed once the promo pricing runs out.

This takes a HUGE hit for subscribers wanting Sling/HBO.

I still contend the BEST option is to get the basic cable (networks in HD w/o antenna issues) and internet from the ISP, but add on Showtime/HBO. Then, get SlingTV to go along with Netflix (and Hulu if you have it).

But, Sling not being available for AppleTV and HBONow only being available on AppleTV is not what you wanted to hear.

It's all going to level out eventually. This is just the beginning.

No question. Still sucks for the market as it stands to have HBO Now only on AppleTV, even though I have it.

SlingTV and AppleTV need to figure out how to make it available on there.

Any updates. I fucking hate cable. I get free internet from my company. Thinking about sling. Appears that Fox sports Ohio would be part of the $40 package. Basically want to be able to watch sports.

It has treated me pretty well. Apparently Direct TV Now is the same concept as sling for $35. They have more channels including most of the channels you need for sports.

Directv now is $60. Appears no CBS or NFL network.

SljngTV is awesome. The $40 package with sports extra...not sure how anyone could need more.

Playstation Vue looks interesting. $35 package might be all I need from them. I'll have to compare Sling and Vue.

I've had SlingTV since launch. Can't compliment them enough. Started with about 29 channels, now they have close to 100 (with add ons). Just launched Beta for DVR, and it is flawless. NBATV, NFLN, Redzone, FS1/2, All ESPN games (and all ESP3 games in guide, don't need to launch WatxhESPN app), Golf Channel, NBCSN, Fox Sports Regionals, NHLN, Bein Sports and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. I personally only have the $20 one and then trade my HBOGO login with someone for their cable subscription to get FSGO, NBC SPORTS LIVE, etc. Works out great. But yeah, the combined package of SlingTV gives you every sports channel you could need imo.

Only downside for me is Tribe aren't on Fox Sports anymore, ever since the sto takeover, so I have to buy the MLB package every year.

Another advantage of Sling over Vue is that Sling can be streamed on any device. Vue needs the PlayStation. With the combined package, you get 4 devices at once on Sling. Huge bonus to me.

I love Buckeye Cable honestly as I'm only paying $100 a month for fast internet and quite a few channels with DVR. How does the sling DVR work because working nights that's how I pretty much watch all Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons games

I will +1 this.

The only downside for me is the stream is normally 15-30 seconds behind the live feed. So, watching sports can be annoying when you know the stream is delayed.

I think in NEO Sling has STO/Tribe. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

With our Sling Blue service comes the addition of FOX and FOX Regional Sports. When signing up, the FOX Regional Sports network(s) you receive will be based on your billing zip code. When you start streaming, your FOX Regional Sports Network will be available to you in its eligible zone. If you leave this zone temporarily, you will not receive your Regional Sports Network until you return.

The following FOX Regional Sports Networks will be available based on your location:
FOX Sports Ohio, FOX Sports West, FOX Sports Florida, FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Arizona, FOX Sports Cincinnati, FOX Sports Detroit, FOX Sports North, FOX Sports Prime Ticket, FOX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports Southeast, FOX Sports Southwest, FOX Sports Sun, Sports Time Ohio, and YES (Yankees Entertainment and Sports) Network.

Sports Time Ohio does not show up, I checked a bunch of various NEO zip codes and can't see it available for any of them.

Its not currently available to everyone. I was picked for the beta tryout. But I think it will bee soon. You can record up to 100 hours of HD tv and TD availablenin the app interface. The skip ahead is 30 seconds at a time and back is 10 seconds. Auto plays when you skip, don't need to press play or anything.
