I didn't come up with this....our founding fathers found it the right thing to do. We see it everyday on the money we exchange.
"In God We Trust".....It doesn't get any plainer than that.

Appeal to authority.

Person A is (claimed to be) an authority on subject S.
Person A makes claim C about subject S.
Therefore, C is true.

Not to mention it never says one thing about Christianity. Jesus is not mentioned in any of our legal founding documents. The reason many were deists and not Christians.

Why should Christians convince you? Sometimes people need to seek and find themselves.
It's not like non-Christians don't know anything about it already.
Nobody had to convince me there was a God, even though I was taken to church when I was young. (In fact, that preacher turned me away from religion almost completely) Or the way I chose to conduct my faith/spirituality. I wasn't forced or bargained with. It just happened on its own course.

Besides, these types of posts clearly are just aiming for put-downs, antagonisms, ridicule and the like.

Are you a betting man?

Don't accept = going to hell

Do accept = going to heaven

Seems like all gain and no loss to me.

Good one. That is called Pascals wager.

The problem is you better prepare for hell yourself because the Muslims are right and how can you take that chance? Can you really chance that the Muslims are the right way?

Better change your ways now or suffer hell for all time.

That is why Pascals wager fails

Pascals Wager eh?

The flaw with Pascal's Wager is that it depends entirely on worshipping the correct god.

Faith and merely faith. If I am not forcing you to believe the same thing in which I believe, why must I argue my standpoint? If we live at peace, I'm ok with that.

Why confuse living in harmony with your neighbor with a doctrine of an organized religion?

I could care less if you believe. I lived the atheist life for awhile. My life is much more peaceful and enjoyable now than when I didn't believe. If I'm wrong, at least my last thoughts will be of hope and I will die happy.

It is a personal relationship you have with your creator. I can't convince anyone to have that in their life.

Person A is a poor man living in small village in Africa who gives all his money to other people and lives the most basic of lives. He helps his friends and family toil in the fields, always treats people better than himself, and doesn't lie, cheat, steal or have sex before marriage. He has never heard of God, but lives the best possible life that he can.

Person B is a Catholic priest who molests children(because really, do they do anything else?), but without a doubt believes there is a God.

Who goes to heaven?

Easy, the Catholic. God hates Africa.

Yes.

Does going into your garage everyday, make you a car?
Does going into a barn everyday, make you a cow/horse?

The Bible says that by faith you are saved. Not works. Simply going to church to be "saved" is a "work".

Ephesians 2:8-9 says:

For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Church is set up for Christians to be a continual work of our faith. Not a means of getting to Heaven. Just as Baptism is a step of faith. Not salvation.

Belief alone does not get you into heaven. I am not the gatekeeper so I don't know who gets in. I just believe that if I follow my faith, I will get in.

Maybe heaven is just a place for everyone who lives a virtuous life, but Christians get into the vip section.
