More power to anyone trying to create alternative sites. The marketplace will decide which ones are successful. It's unfortunate that some would copy the business model of the site we're walking away from (hostility toward other sites taken so far as to ban their very mention).

So far, this site appears to be the early leader.

What I found interesting is in a sticky there he says they are not in competition and do not want to fight other boards. Then we start getting emails and other stuff. I will check both boards because you never know what one might miss. I have spen the majority of my time here though. I think I actually know this cavtensity fellow, and if it is him, he always seemed ok to me. I do not know why he said that. A site may be slower because it has people on it, where the other one only has a few people. Throw 300 on it and he if it slows down.

I am the one that posted the "sticky" about not trying to fight with other boards. Here is the exact note:

All...we are not trying to compete with freehuddle.com or JJHuddle.com or Yippi.com or any other message board. So I'm not going to bash any of those fine sites.

However, I wanted to announce that the founder of this site (Mike Clark) and myself have tried to work something out to combine with those associated with freehuddle.com to no prevail. Our goal is to provide members with a unique, yet entertaining replacement for JJHuddle.com. If you ever have a suggestion...it will not go ignored. We are here as fans and members for our fans and members.

Therefore, I encourage all of you to pass the word along regarding this forum. You have a complete freedom of speech on this site. There will never be any fees associated with joining, posting or reading materials (or anything else that may come about if this site grows).

Also, the biggest perk of the site, compared to that of other boards popping up....we have a large enough server to support heavy traffic. If we EVER get to a point where our website becomes slow or crashes because of our traffic, we will purchase additional storage IMMEDIATELY!

So again, kick back and enjoy the lax nature of THE Ohio Sports Forum! Thanks to everyone for their support thus far.

Since that sticky, Justin has done a remarkable job making this site faster and larger.

Cavtensity is a supporter of the site I helped build and I am proud of his standing up for it. We all have different preferences and both sites provide former JJHuddle members with a free alternative.

I personally apologize for any emails being sent out on behalf of the board (I did send the first one, but in no way was it an attack on this site).

I think a bandwidth problem (if we had one) would be easier to fix than the problems they face from this site's 800+ (and growing) member advantage.
