Highland county is nice because you can grab some Holtzmans Donuts in Williamsburg on the way.

If you just want some woods to chill in, there are 26 acres of dedicated greenspace behind my house that you're welcome to use.

Hillsboro is ok...not great. It's the county seat as a city of about 6,000. Leesburg and Lynchburg are 7-8 minutes away. Hillsboro might be the worst traffic town in Ohio....terrible on that spectrum. The SW portion of Highland Co isn't far from Mt. Orab and it's a lot of pretty well to do farmers in the area.

Nationally known comedian Drew Hastings is the mayor of Hillsboro.

As for looks of land the eastern part of Highland Co is really nice and probably more fitting for what you want but it's 1 hr 15 from Cincy and also a lot of low income in much of the area surrounding (not that isn't pretty much everywhere.

Ha, we've got a Holtman's in Cincinnati now. I love that place.

How far are you from Cincy? I'm always looking for new camping destinations.

Equal shares? That's a nice chunk of land. How far is it from Cincy?

Hillsboro is a fairly small town on Rt. 50. There's a lot of outdoors stuff to do in the area. Close to Rocky Fork Lake and Paint Creek. A lot of people kayak Paint Creek.

My wife's family talked us into all buying a big plot of land just outside of Crested Butte, Co. It was 100 acres and her aunt and uncle bought 40 her parents bought 40 and then her brother bought 10 and we bought the other 10. There's nothing on the land right now but her parents and aunt in uncle will probably build their retirement houses there in the next 5 or so years. When that happens we will probably have to decide if we want to buy a larger house here in Ohio or build a second home on that land. It's close enough that we could probably rent it out in the winter for skiers and mountain bikers in the summer. It the number 1 place to ski in the country last year. I just want it for the snowmobile trail close by.

Her parents right now have a 3 bedroom condo in Mount Crested Butte and her Aunt and Uncle have a 1 bedroom there as well. I kinda wished we just did that because they rent it out about 25% of the year and it pays a good chunk of the morgage for the year.

Gerbs land is in NE muskingum county. I have 88 acres on the river in Meigs county. Me and my brothers are just biding our time until weed is legal then we are rich lol. But it is also a great pice of land located on a bend in the Ohio south of Long Bottom.

I've found a great piece of land in Kentucky, hopefully it will still be around in the fall so I can go take a look at it. Over 35 acres for $65k. It doesn't have a creek or a cabin but it does have a barn and a pond.

The more I look at pictures they probably should have listed it as a "pond". It's basically just a small water source for animals. Not for fishing.
