As for his records, that's just the time of the NFL. It's like comparing salaries, of course any big name FA is going to be paid more than the best player of the 1980s, doesn't mean they're better players.
Pretty much this, but are you surprised? Azu has been Dalton's biggest fanboy/apologist since day 1. He has a stretch of 8 good games and now he wants to anoint Dalton as a top 10 QB, gtfo. Dalton is playing much better this year, but as I said earlier and have been saying since day 1, he needs the talent behind him to look good. AJ Green is back healthy, and Dalton looks great. Coincidence? Also the defense is back to form, as they actually played like shit last year. This year the defense is giving the Bengals amazing field position for the offense. You can talk about all the injuries last year, but the line was still one of the best in the league and they still had two great RBs. Dalton's season so far reminds me of the couple pro bowl seasons Matt Schaub had when the Texans had minimal holes at every position.
