Forcing one, maybe two kids to transfer if he wants to play or agreeing to a medical hardship is not an SEC tactic. Is it a tactic used by almost every Big 5 team.

Oversigning by 10 kids and then getting rid of a bunch year to year, which is a different tactic, is an SEC tactic that people still loathe.

But what OSU is doing to this kid is exactly how those SEC schools do it.

Webbies butthurt is always hilarious. Anything to make yourself feel like Michigan is better than osu at something.

I'm sure Harbaugh won't tell anyone, hey you might wanna look around and think about transferring...

This case isn't what Webbie wants it to be. Yet he will just keep trying to make it that way.

What did I claim Michigan was good at again?

Love that OSU fans can't stand to converse with someone because they are a UM fan. Grow up.

Like the opinion that you are blind if you don't think Meyer does some form of over signing.

Last 5 years...

OSU - 123 recruits
Mich - 102
MSU - 101
Wisc - 96

All while OSU was under scholly reductions for what, 2-3 years. LOL

How many transfers did we have, or how many were academically ineligible?

I recall quite a few transferred, and/or were found ineligible.
Bell, Mitchell, Pittman, Connor, T. Johnson, to name a few. Don't remember hearing many injury hardships(outside of Trey)

I got bored....

James Louis
TY Williams
David Druham
Jamel Turner
Scott McVey
Chad Hagan
Verlon Reed
Taylor Graham

All from the 2010 Class who transferred, or removed from team for Discipline/Academics.

So it isn't as if we're ruling half the recruits hurt, which is what people dislike about the SEC(Bama)

But what OSU is doing to this kid is exactly how those SEC schools do it.
Except that the kid still has a full ride, and that's a huge difference. The College is honoring it's committment to it's promise of a 4year scholarship. He gets a free college education....at worst. At what point do colleges have to accept damaged goods? The kid had two knee injuries after his signing. Even if you're totally healthy, there is no guarantee that you'll ever get in a game anyway. OSU has honored it's financial committment, and it's not restricting the kid from leaving if he finds an offer.
My point is that you offered for him to play at your school and you responded by saying he can, at another school. That makes no sense lol
...hope that answers it for you.

It doesn't answer it. Your post is just a confirmation of what I already said, that Ohio State is offering to fulfill its financial commitment and I'm OK with the situation because of that. But in my post I stated 2 parts to their original commitment (1) a scholarship (financial aid) (2) to play football at your (Ohio State) school. Ohio State can no longer fulfill their original commitment. Again, that's fine, but that's not what you said.

You said that he could get that at another school. It's not logically possible for another school to give him the same commitment: financial aid and a spot on Ohio State's team. That's why I said your response made no sense, it's impossible.

Hope that explains why your response doesn't answer it for me.

I'm not sure...and neither are you...what Ohio State committed to, but a scholarship to play football is not necessarily a guaranteed spot on the team. While I feelz for the kid, OSU is being pretty honorable in giving the kid a free college education for just signing to play there. It is one thing if the kid was injured on an OSU football field during practice, but OSU does not have the obligation to rehab this kid and reserve a spot on the team for him for injuries sustained prior to his matriculation, or for injuries sustained outside their control. They did nothing out of the ordinary or standard....but because they are over the limit on scholarships, haters are looking to call them on it a being "unfair". Even if the were at the exact amount, and this kid was injured, don't they have the right to take the "football" part of his scholly away and give it to a kid who can contribute?

http://www.collegesportsscholarships.com/2014/10/17/it-is-not-all-about-the-scholarship.htm

It's all about feelz in this case.... the kid has a 4 year ride worth $100,000.....and if he doesn't want it, he can go elsewhere without restriction.

How so? It's so comical how OSU fans ripped Meyer at Florida, but he does it at OSU and it's ok. The excuses are hilarious.

The commitment was for a 4 year athletic scholarship. Why would you not let him rehab and see what happens. Kid barely got on campus early and they tell him he can't play for them ever.

That's shitty.
