gosh a ruddies the perfect excuse for the haves to continuously deny aid to those in need. The perfect excuse for selfishness. Those in need are just being so selfish hoping for aid from those that have the resources.

you are so unwilling to grant the true resources needed to provide those in need the basics for social mobility. Support higher taxes to help those in need.

I am more than willing to grant them your money. Now write the check unless you are too selfish and greedy to do it.

gosh a ruddies I support the education of the needy and now to truly do something worthwhile you must support a raise in taxes on the upper quintiles to provide funds for social mobility of the needy.

Would your debt have been lower if you stayed another year at Community College?

Do you think everyone should be given 2 free years even if they are able to pay?
1- Yes
2- I dont even know if I think you should be given any years for free if you are able to pay, let alone two. What is your definition of "able to pay"? Out of pocket or having to take out loans?

which of course is not a problem for you.
Sorry, the "can't afford college" excuse is literally for stupid people. The ability to obtain affordable loans for college has been available for a long, long time.

A college degree doesn't offer the stupid social mobility. And college is only unaffordable if you're stupid.

NO it is unaffordable if you lack the economic resources. But of course to you, it is just "let them eat cake."

Even stupid people can get 10's of thousands of dollars in totally free money.

So college is only unaffordable if you're stupid AND ignorant. Actually, college is more affordable for the poor than it is the middle class.

yawn....your spiel is simply tired and ignorant. Nobody needs MORE free money to be able to afford college. "I can't afford college" is just an excuse for people who are too stupid to get a degree.

No. I have no problem with the stupid & lazy being on the bottom of the economic ladder. That's how it SHOULD work.

I agree with you and that's my disappointment with this whole proposal.

I don't have a definition of "able to pay". I know those people certainly exist in the use of "everyone" by the President.

gosh a ruddies you equate being without resources in a society with declining social mobility equals being stupid and lazy. So bigoted against those without the economic advantages you have. Definitely "Let them eat cake." view of the world,

No..LITERALLY only the stupid and lazy can't get money for college. Over $60k in free money already available, and nearly another $30k in subsidized federal loans (5% interest rate). And that's before financial aid, scholarships and any other money.

I am in full favor of this. It allows easy access to the type of education and training that can reduce government expenses down the road and allow students to start out their career with less student debt.

gosh a ruddies there are millions who are not stupid or lazy but who are frozen in the bottom income and wealth quintiles because of lack of economic resources. Free community college will give them an increased chance of upward mobility in a society that increasingly denying a real chance to better oneself.
