It truly is amazing what is allowed. These are the 2012 statistics too...so, it's only going up.

State average for "high faculty salaries" is $97,603 ($144,627 on the high, $61,214 on the low). This is for a 9-month contractual base salary for full-time faculty. There are some in the Chicago-area specifically that make $122,000+! I'll take all that pay for a 9-month job.
