Yeah, that is how it had to go down. SF wouldnt just mutually part ways with him if he was actively wanting to go to another NFL team. Bylaws state no other NFL team could have been talking to him as well, so he would have had to go through the process with other teams but with Michigan........you know they were in contact prior and as soon as he was officially out it was already a done deal.
SF would probably traded him to an AFC team so they would only have to play him once every 4 years (or more if it was in the SB) but to trade him to Atlanta, or Chicago, they have to face him at LEAST every 3 years and a decent chance more often depending on where both teams finish each season.

I can tell sleeper is nervous about Harbaugh. No way he would dedicate this much time to making him out to be an average coach.

I know there was talk of trading him to another NFL team but how would that work with the asinine Rooney rule?

Probably supercedes it. I really havent heard much talk recently of the Rooney Rule. Think they downplay it as it can be a bit degrading when the talk turns to the interviewing of a minority to fulfill that 'rule'.

I dont even know where all this talk of trading is coming from. I remember something about the Browns, but when is the last time a HC in the NFL has been traded to another team?

Harbaugh is a heck of a coach, and he will turn UM around, no doubt about it.

Someone on Fox Sports radio was reporting a third round pick was going to be traded from the raiders to the Niners for Harbaugh.

There was speculation this season about how the Niners could trade him since it was well known there was a rift. They werent gonna let him go to be able to sign with someone they contend with.

I think it's degrading period. Good god making it mandatory to interview at least one black person is terrible

Yeah, was the NFL version of affirmative action.
No one can prove it for sure, but that could be how Tomlin got the job. He wasnt even on the radar as most thought it would was going to be Whiz or Grimm.
Just a way to get more minorities coaching.

Man, might as well find a way to get more white RBs too. Such a joke. Yeah let's eliminate racism by instituting racist policies.

The first time Harbaugh wins a meaningful game will be his first. I really don't think its going to change anything; Michigan will still lose to Ohio State every year. Have you seen our recruiting classes? Have you seen the production on the field? Tomorrow you will see what happens to Bama; if its within 4 TDs I'll be shocked.

Yep. The HYPERBOLE MACHINE is working a bit harder than usual. No complaints here; his act actually becomes entertaining when he gets this far over the top.

sleeper is like skip bayless in a way that he picks a side and runs with it, makes insane arguments that he even doesnt truly believe just so he doesnt ever agree on any point with the other person. Maybe when you make a 6 digit salary your mind just goes to mush.

Wonder if he was just messing with Harbaugh or this is telling of how Harbaugh is received by players?

Nope, thats how a few former players feel about him, namely Baldwin and Richard Sherman.

Does it stem from college or their NFL rivalry?

I remember hearing it was mainly due to Pre-draft stuff, not giving them glowing reviews or something like that.
