Cincy had the right game plan. The Browns secondary is exceptional. Best in the league. Their front 7 is very bad against stopping the run. Any opposing O-Coordinator, who is smart, should pound the run (unless they have a crappy rushing attack, like Indy) until the Browns can prove they can stop it. They couldn't stop it against Jax & Alfred Blue (Texans), so most teams are going to be able to run on them.bases_loaded;1686320 wrote:I didn't like the game plan at the beginning of the game at all. You have all this hype and the crowd pumped up, win the toss...defer?...Ok fine, your defense is what you built the team on, you defer. Mingo screws up and Cincy drives and scores. Then you come out and run the ball 3 straight times.
Then Cincy is bringing the house all game and you continue to run the same plays. I'd like to see him without guys at his feet before the ball gets there, but at least we will find out NOW and not week 1 next year.
Regardless of a few touting Shanahan as an offensive "genius", he is pretty predictable. At least on 1st downs.
