I enjoy watching U-La-La. Terence Broadway is fun to watch. They played at Akron two seasons ago and Akron goes down there next season.

Mid-major football was quite pathetic this year. If Memphis and Boise State lose, we might not see a non-power 5 school finish in the top 30-35 of any of the polls. When is the last time that happened?

That's cause there's no real good ones left. TCU, Louisville, Utah were consistently ranked programs competing at a high level. Now they're successful power conference teams. You have Boise and that's itIronman92;1688047 wrote:Boise St will be top 30 regardless
Also even with the MAC you used to have Marshall consistently great with Toledo, Northern Illinois and even a few good BG teams hanging around the top 25. Now NIU is the only fairly consistent program

Would be close if they lose, they will drop further if they lose like CSU did to Utah.Ironman92;1688047 wrote:Boise St will be top 30 regardless
Or will be beaten by power 5 schools in their bowls.Classyposter58;1688057 wrote:That's cause there's no real good ones left. TCU, Louisville, Utah were consistently ranked programs competing at a high level. Now they're successful power conference teams. You have Boise and that's it
Also, Marshall plays Northern Illinois, so one of them will be there by default.

NIU? But I do agree that mid-major football was weaker this season compared to years past.Azubuike24;1688035 wrote:Mid-major football was quite pathetic this year. I also remember when I was given shit for giving Memphis credit for sticking with Ole Miss for 3 quarters :RpS_lol:
edit: just saw your bottom post. Not even sure Marshall would be with those 2 losses to end the season.

I'll take it. Huge offseason upcoming for BG, the talent is there but I'm a little skeptical of this coach. They just did not improve really as the season wore onIronman92;1688077 wrote:Lol at South Alabama

For those of you that missed the fight at the end of the Memphis/BYU game, here's the video. Dude's swinging helmets, faces bloodied, dudes stomping on dudes. It was nuts.

There was a block in the Marshall game that was worse than Corey Smith's in the Wisky game, and it didn't even draw a flag.

Good showing by Marshall. NIU didn't help the MAC by that performance...two conf champs of weak conferences and one beats the hell out of the other.
