Navy won 17-16. Think 5 turnovers in the 4th quarter. SDSU had a chance but missed a 34 yard fg with like 7 seconds left.

Ugly game. Sloppy execution on both sides. The two impressive things to me were the SDSU defensive game plan and the will and relentlessness of Navy. The Aztecs had that game. Chance after chance and Navy's defense would "bend but not break".

Defenders lost focus during the chaotic play....4 defenders right behind the ball being caught and no one in front....then on the toss 4 guys again going all out on the tackle when you knew he had to toss it backwards and yet no one played it...then everyone again ran towards the next ball carrier and acted surprised he tossed it backwards to another.vball10set;1689376 wrote:[video=youtube;-78dpb2E-z0][/video]

Meh, they were in the game until the final 5 minutes despite doing every single thing wrong, it seemed (2 huge pass plays against an offense that kinda stunk other than those plays; a pick 6; missing a PAT and 2-point conversion), so that's not a crushing. More of a team that's going to get to spend a good long time thinking they could have won their bowl if they hadn't screwed up on a number of big plays. I'm about to make an argument, now, that the big ten is amazing because of what Rutgers is doing. Just so they know how stupid it is to generalize a conference based off one game.

lol, yeah. Illinois was a shitty 6-6 team that got into a bowl because, as a Power 5 team, they had more name power than other shitty 6-6 teams (you know, like our Bobcats).
