"Expose" a guy who has won 3 National Championships in the last 5 years as what?
An inferior coach to Urb who has had all of his success handed to him on a silver platter by the media as a result of the tremendous SEC bias.

You're joking, right? Also, in relation to the opening kickoff- I think there's a special rule that it's a touch back dead ball on plays like that. Trying to find the rule wording, but I've seen it before where they call a touchback without anyone even picking up the ball.

Here's the wording- it would be a touchback once the ball entered the end zone unless it is advanced out of the end zone by the receiving team: Examples of instances where a touchback would be awarded include when:
  • A kickoff or punt enters the end zone and becomes dead behind the goal line without being advanced beyond the goal line by a player of the receiving team. Thus, a player on the receiving team could attempt to advance the ball out of his own end zone, but the original impetus from the kick remains as long as the ball does not completely cross the goal line into the field of play. Note that if a kick is fielded by the receiving team in its end zone, is advanced beyond the goal line, and then the ball carrier retreats back into his own end zone where the ball is downed, it is a safety because the impetus would then be charged to the receiving team.

Would that apply? Was the ball dead?

But he muffed it, once he touches it he has to control the ball and down it

Same pattern as the 1st game so far -- 3 and out for the favorite, then underdog drives the field on the first possession, but can't get the TD and settles for the FG.

I think it becomes "dead" once it passes the goalline, possibly similar to a team downing a punt or blocking a field goal. You can advance a punt once it's been deflected by the punting team or advance a field goal if it's been blocked, but if you don't it becomes a deadball

I think the official may have thought the ball was originally touched by Bama, but wasn't sure, so he let it play out with replay as back-up.

Bama can't move the ball.

The Buckeyes will destroy Oregon next week. I don't buy the hype with them one bit.

I think that would only be if he muffed it outside of the end zone and it went into the end zone?
