The defense was unbelievably good today. In the first 6 drives, the NFL's #1 offense had a grand total of 1 first down. The defense scored more points than the offense did.

I like Mike Pettine as a coach, but I seriously question his ability to think. How he could start Brian Hoyer today with so much on the line shows a true character flaw. He is clinicly insane and Ray Farmer should consider firing him.

This team would be either 11-2 or at the least 10-3....all you had to do was play the much better quarterback this year.

I still think it's 50/50 on who starts. I also think the Browns win next week regardless of who plays QB.
Who gives a shit who starts next week? The season is over. Start Shaw for all I care.

Browns fans care I imagine...so that makes sense that you don't care.

Last time a team with 4 turnovers and 2 defensive TD's lost the game was 1999.

Chew on that one for a while.

Puts into perspective how piss poor Hoyer was, and how stubborn Mike Pettine is.

Stubborn coaches often find themselves fired sooner than later.

Pettine showed what a gutless swine that he is in announcing Hoyer as the starting quarterback this week after he posted a repulsive, average quarterback rating of 52 over the past 3 weeks. Pettine would never play Manziel today for fear that he would show him up for his utter stupidity.

Pro football season is over. It's a pass/fail league...and Pettine and the Browns have failed. Go Buckeyes...beat Bama!

Browns fans that care about winning don't give a shit who plays next week. The season ended today. Your schtick of me not being a Browns fan is old and tiring.

"Were supposed to come out with a win after 4 turnovers and 2 defensive touchdowns so its really unacceptable" - Donte Whitner #Browns
Normally I frown on this type of thing...a defensive player criticizing the offense in public or vice versa. But in this case Whitner deserves kudos for tweeting this.

But he didn't go far enough. This shit that the team backed the coach's quarterback decision needs to be publicly debunked...because I can guarantee you those that really want to win did not endorse that nonsense.

The definition of an asshat would people like you that have apologized week in and week out on the performance of Brian Hoyer. Your boy outdid himself today with a 31 QBR rating. You got your wish...Hoyer played. How did that work out?

You're ahead 21-7 and bring in the backup QB? No NFL coach would ever do that.

If you want to say Manziel should've started that's one thing, but once the decision was made to start Hoyer, and we weren't losing until 30 seconds left in the game, Manziel wasn't coming in.

Like I said...as dumb of a comment as it gets.

The Browns never had the ball up 21-7 as you claim...but even if they did, it doesn't matter. You play to win the game. Hello? You play to win the game. When you're quarterback sucks ass...has sucked for 6 weeks, and nothing is changing, you get his ass the hell off the field...and then you cut him the opportunity to do so.

I apologize since I know a lot of you are blocking him, but I had to post this just so you all could see that, yes, Footwedge called someone ELSE out for this!

All Hoyer needed to do was not be a giant pile of shit. I still cannot believe we lost this game.

Pettine should announce at the presser this won't be allowed to continue.
Hoyer humbled? LOL wut? The 10 guys around him didn't play well, doncha know? It's a team game. All that bad quarterback play was an illusion...bad pass blocking, people running the wrong routes and so on and so forth.

Ordinarily, I 'd agree with you, if Hoyer wasn't absolutely ineffective today, and ineffective for the past several weeks. He should have been on a very short leash... And the object should be to win the game even if that means thinking outside the box a bit. Mike Pettine gets no points today for thinking outside the box today... Just like his team's QB got no points for his team. He played it "safe" all week and he let his team lose a winnable game.

Hopefully this Hoyer experiment ends today. I'm really sick of his passive/aggressive throwing his offensive teammates under the bus in post game press conferences.

Don't think there's any way that Hoyer starts again for the Browns, barring injury.

Season is over...doesn't matter who plays next week as far as I am concerned, It wasn't just today that the coach's decision threw away an opportunity to win. If the head coach doesn't care, why should I?

Can't rave enough regarding the play of the defense. Skrine, Hadin, Kruger, Mingo and even Gilbert laid it out on the line. Hoyer should have opened up his presser by apologizing to those guys.....and to the fans that had to watch his sorry ass today.

Hopefully, since the season is over for Wedgie, he'll stop posting on Browns threads. Someone should go start the Official 2015 Manziel Thread so he will have somewhere to post.
