Just terrible.

It doesn't matter but we're the concussions from wrestling or mainly football?

Apparently, his body was found in a dumpster and the gun was found outside somewhere? This doesn't seem consistent with suicide...

Another article says the gun was found in the dumpster with the body. Still, somewhat odd.

Makes a bit more sense at least

The family doesn't need any trivia to go along with this.

I was thinking the same thing, thought the tweet I saw from an NBC guy said his body was found inside a container in a dumpster...

RIP, young man, things must have been pretty rough for you to resort to suicide. I can't even imagine.

Beyond sad for the family but this kid had every opportunity to seek help for his feelings of self harm and chose a path that will only haunt his family the rest of their lives. It's tough for me to find sympathy for those who commit suicide.

The worst part to me is that apparently the mother and son found the body in the dumpster behind his apartment while searching for him.

Just awful.

More awful, they had to bring themselves to look in a dumpster to begin with.

I don't agree with those who say suicide is "cowardly" because I'm thinking it takes some pretty big cajones to pull that trigger...but I do think it's extremely selfish.

Extremely. But at the same time, you gotta be fucked up in the head in most cases. Either medically, injuries, which sounds like that could be the cause here, or depression. Depression can fuck you up and shouldn't be taken lightly.

Depression is definitely not just a passing feeling of "being sad" for a few days it's an all encompassing emotional deep dark hole. However, an upper middle class kid on full schollie had free access to some of the best psychiatric help in the world and for some reason he chose to either not go or ignore their advice when the "harm yourself" feelings came on. His family will forever be scarred by this and statistically a younger sibling is likely to attempt it also now. Call me an un-compassionate idiot all you want but I struggle to sympathize with someone who has now left so much destruction behind.

Nobody sympathizes with the person who commits suicide. The problem is, that person is gone and the only ones left to express condolences towards are the innocent family/friends. That doesn't mean empathy should be null and void toward those individuals.

My feelings from the get go yesterday were no way he climbed into a dumpster and killed himself. Now it's starting to sound like maybe there's evidence that possibly supports that. Think there's more to this story.

You don't feel sympathy for someone who has such a feeling of despair they feel they have no other option but to take their own life?

This hard assed attitude from some of you idiots has reached an all time high.

I certainly sympathize with all parties involved, including the one who took his life. Don't judge unless you've been there. It's easy to say he should have got help. Once you're in that frame of mind, you're beyond feeling like you can be helped. To us, they are being cowards and selfish. To them, they are helping their loved ones by removing what they feel is a burden to them.
