That being said, Shanahan played right into Buffalo's hands running on 1st down. Most of the successful runs they had today were after feeding Gordon those short passes. They had to respect "pass first" and then they went away from it and it became predictable.

At this point, I've seen enough of Hoyer. He's a sinking ship right now. This team has improved immensely over hte past year but they really aren't that good. Losses to Jacksonville, Houston, Buffalo and a miracle win against a bad Tennessee team show that.

7-9/8-8 would be a disappointment after how they started out but I think if you ask most Browns fans if they'd be pleased with 7-8 wins, prior to the season, they'd say "yes." Doesn't mean we're "content" because the goal is to win it all, but this team isn't close to that.
What did Pettine say?

Just his tone. Very pissed. Called it the "turning point of the game." You really had to hear it to catch it. Even the guys who handle the postgame commentary could tell he was livid. And the fact that the Crow was in the doghouse for a couple of weeks (for fumbling) would lead me to believe that West could be next.

Thank you for typing out what I was trying to say earlier.

West is a joke, and I wish we had someone who could replace Skrine, but unfortunately we don't.

I'd kill for Skrine on my team like you would've killed for an average QB on your team last year.

Vball is retarded. Don't mind his brainless commentary that about 1% of browns fans share.

Looking back to the offseason thread, most of us were expecting between 7 and 9 wins in early August. I think people would have accepted 8-8, but not sure I'd go as far as "pleased".

7-9 would be more than a disappointment at this stage. That would mean 5 straight losses to end the season, and another losing record in the division.

Did Gilbert start at all before today? Bengals are in the same boat. Drafted Kirkpatrick in the 1st in 2012 and Dennard in the 1st this year, they are the best special team's gunners in the NFL. Literally.

The first game I think. Gilbert has been a disappointment for the most part.

Is Skrine not average?

Average would be our best IMO just ahead of Gay and well ahead of the rest of them.

This.

He hasn't been a disappointment.

Maybe pick was confusing Gilbert with a Cowboys DB.

Not being able to get on the field is disappointing to me. Especially when the coaching staff is deferring to an UDFA over him.

Lol....Logan has always been a Browns town. I live 40 miles south of Logan in Jackson and not since the early early 90's have I seen so many people wearing Browns stuff and I swear not one thing has been Manziel, in fact not sure I've seen a jersey of anyone but hats, sweatshirts, polos are visible for sure.

Ummm, yeah....Gilbert HAS been a disappointment. Number 8 pick in the draft has lost playing time to a better/undrafted corner (K'Waun Williams). I wouldn't say "bust" just yet but "disappointment" is pretty much right on the money.

I thought you lived in Logan, my bad. I know Jackson pretty well as well. Jr. visited Rio Grand College looking for a partial baseball scholly 8 years ago.. Didn't like the campus at all. Would think 80 minutes from Cincy that it would be a Bengal town.

Jackson is about 100 miles from Cincy and is definitely "Who Dey" for the vast majority but the Browns stuff is coming out of the woodwork as stated earlier.

Rio Grande has little to nothing and is a glorified high school. It is pretty solid for nursing and teaching but is definitely not for everyone. My wife and I graduated from there but happy my daughter has went a little bigger, a little better and a little further away.
