Assuming they can stay somewhat healthy, I'm starting to feel better about their chances of winning this.

In the past, there has always been a recurring theme that has been a part of the supposed "curse".....a Hall of Famer. The late 80's/early 90's Cavs should've won multiple championships but were always stopped short by a Hall of Famer, Michael Jordan. The mid/late 80's Browns should've been in a couple of Super Bowls but were always stopped short by? A Hall of Famer, John Elway.

There's only one Hall of Famer left among these 4 teams and he's wearing Wine & Gold.

GO CAVS !!!

He's good but way too early to crown him a Hall of Famer.

Unless Steph Curry falls off the face of the earth tomorrow, he will be in the HOF.

Barring severe injury, he's going to be a HOFer. You don't just stop learning how to shoot like he can.

Steph is a HOF lock. Just like Ray Allen will have a job as long as he wants one, Steph can carry his team for 6-7 more years and then fall into a solely shooting role.

Dwight Howard is almost definitely HOF bound too. If he plays another 6+ years he'll finish top 10 all time in blocks and top 5 in rebounds.

Unfortunately, I think Harden will end up being a HOFer as well, if for no other reason than the stats he puts up. I don't really care for him (pretty certain over half his "shot" attempts aren't even looking at the basket, just trying to draw the foul), but he has put up a lot of good offensive numbers. His defense, however, leaves a lot to be desired.

Outside of this season, he's one of the worst defenders I've ever seen.

No chance. The dude will never win an MVP or a championship.

I agree completely. Pretty sure there are YouTube videos mocking his pathetic effort on defense. Still think he'll get in, although I obviously don't think he'll be a first ballot guy.

James Harden isn't not going to the Hall based on him being a below average defender.

He was a damn good college player too. And that goes into consideration.

Harden has plenty of time to change his HoF credentials. Before this season I thought he was an inefficient over rated chucker (ala McGrady with worse defense). He's still an annoying as shit player to watch IMO, like the guy who's mastered the leg sweep in Mortal Kombat and spams it during a match. However, it's not his fault the NBA rules for fouling are shit, and he's exploited it better than any other player. He had a great season, and if he keeps this up he's more than likely HoF bound. Still needs to pick up his defense and improve his FG% before I'll ever actually consider him an MVP candidate. He was no where close to 2nd best player in the league this season IMO.

Yeah I'd put him at top 26 no doubt.

Well I'd like to get the thread back on track rather than talking about non-Cavs players who have never and will never accomplish anything relevant in the NBA.

Cavs take game 1 no problem. Cavs by 10 is my current prediction. Is there anyone here that doesn't believe the Cavs will be in the NBA finals?

I really like LeBron to dominate this series. The Hawks dont really have a presence either inside or on the wing who can stop him from getting points down low/driving/on the block.

On the flip side, I think Atlanta provides tougher matchups everywhere else compared to the rest if the east. I still say Cavs in 6.
