Cruiser:
I was able to reserve their practice facility this Tuesday from 6PM - 8PM. They allow any central ohio school to reserve it once a year, free of charge, as long as it doesn't interfere with thier schedule, and as long as you can provide documentation from your school district concerning liability insurance. The liability insurance covers all of our district high schools, so I scheduled it for this Tuesday so we can get our DQ in their and some other kids that would benefit from the experience. This is open to only CCS wrestlers due to insurance, but in the future I would be glad to work with you to get your kids in their, or contact OSU wrestling (I think his name is Alex?) about reserving it one practice.

Thank you for the information, and yes, it is Alex. He's pretty much the man.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Congratulations to all the league wrestlers that made it to the District Tournament. Keep it going this is only stage II of the quest. As we knew 160 was the deepest weight class in the city this year and I noticed that 4 qualifiers where at this weight. I know Ayers was at 170 last week and Jenkins was at 160 however Mr. Jenkins is an alt at 170. Great job by everyone I did noticed that our numbers where down from last year. I was shocked to see that DIII didn't get anyone out this year I thought a few of their kids would make it out.

I truly believe that wrestling in the city may be taking a turn for the worst, due to many reasons of course, but the absence of middle school wrestling is by far the biggest reason, IMO! :thumbdown:80baby;1709341 wrote:Congratulations to all the league wrestlers that made it to the District Tournament. Am I correct that only two CCS guys won their first round matches at districts? All I see is McGowan from WR at 152 winning his 1st match and Poeschel from Briggs making it all the way clear to the semis? Kudos to those two but ouch! A lot of strong CCS wrestlers taken down at Heath and Darby. Here's hoping for a strong day of wrestle backs on Saturday!

Rodriguez (Whetstone 106) has won his first two wrestle backs today! Any good news from Heath?

Unfortunately, most went 0-2 (Ayers 1-2 & McGowen 2-2). :RpS_mellow:braveStar;1710780 wrote:Rodriguez (Whetstone 106) has won his first two wrestle backs today! Any good news from Heath?

Bonner defaulted 1st rd (strategy, I think) and is wrestling in a "go-to" match. Poeschel is in semis against Caldwell, so will drop into a "go-to" match most likely.
