Not sure if that is who Sheridan was tweeting about.
I think it's a poor choice to fire him but in the NBA its easier to blame a coach then to fix the roster.

Can't be. The move has been speculated for over a year.

Not shocked. I am really surprised the Bulls didn't pull the dick move and wait to fire him until all the other jobs were filled.

Think maybe they abandoned that when it got out that is what they were thinking about doing?

@SportsCenter: Dwight Howard's Game 5 foul upgraded to Flagrant 1 and suspended one game to open 2015-16 regular season. http://t.co/x3iOOFTMiq

Not much left in his tank but it would be interesting to see where he landed if he bolts...

I'd take him in Cleveland on a vets minimum deal.

Rob would probably argue so.

Not on here, but role player TT is worth 15-20 million a year.

Not really. But he took a "wink, wink" deal with the Heat this season to free up some money to sign players, basically foregoing guaranteed 42 million, so he probably feels disrespected.

What's a wink wink deal and can you name another athlete that's taken a wink wink deal?

Wade took a pay cut so that free agents could be signed knowing that the heat could resign him later because they hold his Bird rights.

He gave up 42m guaranteed, and signed a 2 year 32 million deal. It was obvious to pretty much everyone at the time, and currently, that he took less so they could resign LBJ and add more players, and when that fell through, Wade is obviously expecting them to fulfill earlier promises. Which is the only possible explanation for him opting out of his deal and taking less.

Pelicans hire Alvin Gentry. I don't get it.

I know Carlos Boozer did not take a wink wink deal.

Did I miss this over the weekend?

@GaryParrishCBS: Fred Hoiberg will be in Chicago today to finalize a deal to coach the Bulls, a source told @CBSSports. Press conference likely tomorrow.

It pretty much went from rumor to official, without much speculation. Seems like the Bulls knew exactly what they were doing from the get go. We'll see how it turns out...

They want to play up tempo. Gentry is the best available option.

Still, to fire Monty to hire Gentry. It has to be a playing style move. Although are they really that different?
