Definitely get that.gport_tennis;1730963 wrote:Rwb had a great 3/4th of season, but for pure scoring purposes, give me the 27.6 ppg with a 45%/38%/86% shooting percentages over the 28.1 ppg with a 43%/29%/83% shooting percentages any day.
Though I'd prefer the guy who was impacting all facets of the game, just couldn't overcome the Waiters effect.

That's Sleeper though lol. He'd have found some other rationale.sportswizuhrd;1730966 wrote:Very weird that if Durant was healthy this season, Harden would be considered a superstar. No way Westbrook scores that much with KD playing.
And when I was listing the reasons why would be considered as a Superstar, was answering as the way Sleeper categorizes.

There is a legit argument to be made that LeBron is the only superstar in the league. He is about the only one who would fit into everyones "categories" and also fits into his own.
To many factors/arguments to be made for about another dozen+ after him which could be interchangeable to have a true cutoff...yet we all realize that player 10 on any list isnt close to LeBron.

I'd say lbj, steph, and Davis are superstars. Then there are just stars.

@sheridanhoops: An NBA big shot who I know and trust just told me a coach is getting fired in next couple days, and nobody sees it coming.
Well then.

There are only about 5 coaches in the league that would totally shock me.

First names I thought were Doc Rivers and Tom Thibodeau. Both of them had good years. However, neither of them are "a shock" or "completely unexpected."
Maybe when I hear completely unexpected, I think of a contender. In the NBA, any non-playoff team is pretty fair game unless it's clear the direction the team is going.
Would shock me...Popovich, Stevens, Kerr, McHale, Blatt. The latter 3 considering they are all still alive, and I would think it wouldn't come out with that being the case.
It could be Frank Vogel, who actually did a solid job this year, but could've been canned last year. A name that would surprise some, because it seems pretty accepted that he really earned his keep this year.

Personally, I hope it's Byron Scott. But I know there were rumors of them going after Thibs earlier this month. If that's the case, I hope they keep Scott.

I think it's gonna be McHale.

This would be surprising, but makes a ton of sense if they don't come back and win this series. The Rockets roster is absolutely stacked. There's no reason they should've been down 3-0 on this series.wildcats20;1731218 wrote:I think it's gonna be McHale.

I'd lean toward Spoelstra, or Coach Bud.
Or, maybe Doc, though I think he's overrated, so it wouldn't be a shock to me.

I think Thibs is totally expected.Azubuike24;1731216 wrote:First names I thought were Doc Rivers and Tom Thibodeau. Both of them had good years. However, neither of them are "a shock" or "completely unexpected."
The first 2 I thought as "guy the media would claim is unexpected when in reality it isn't surprising" were Doc and Dwayne Casey.
I didn't even consider Spoelstra. That would be a surprise.

It's Blatt, first ever coach to get fired right before his team starts playing in the NBA finals. No one would see it coming.wildcats20;1731210 wrote:@sheridanhoops: An NBA big shot who I know and trust just told me a coach is getting fired in next couple days, and nobody sees it coming.

What about Joeger? I thought there was talk of him being let go last year, and with the way they performed this year, I think it would be a huge shocker. However, nothing seems surprising anymore.

Why would Thibs shock anyone?? It's common knowledge he is out, surprised it hasn't happened yet.
Also, AZ...what did Vogel do last year you think he should've been canned over? Earning the 1 seed and losing to Miami?? lol

I never said he should be canned personally. I just said it would've been less surprising if he was canned then as opposed to now, IMO. Just speculating in context of the quote. He won't and shouldn't be fired...

Dwight will be suspended game 6, if there is one. But, that T will(and should) be rescinded.

Wow, that foul on Thompson could be huge... 5 fouls with 22 minutes left of gameplay.

The sweep of the Hawks is falling into the greatest 2x4 up Cleveburghs ass yet. When they lose game 7 in the Finals thousands of NEOs will be jumping out of tall buildings downtown.
