I am a believer that you put yourself into a position to be a recipient of good luck but with all my years involved in sports I cannot deny that there are times when good shit just happens to your team. A good bounce, a certain call, just good fortune and many times that is just the way it goes in sports, and in life.
I think the browns are FINALLY starting to have things go their way. Fantastic comeback yesterday when they could have just packed it in. I think twice now that Hoyer was on the cusp of getting replaced..against PIttsburgh if he didnt produce in that first drive of the second half and yesterday if he hadnt drove them down at the end of the half.
I am not saying the browns are going to win out and win the super bowl, but they def have the mojo going their way. It doesnt take much, just one game like yesterday, to turn a season and franchise around. The steelers come in limping after getting beat by the buccs and playing lackluster against the hapless Jags.
The division has officially turned from top to bottom as the browns and bengals will fight it out for the crown, and the steelers and ravens will fight to stay out of last place
As a Browns fan I wouldn't go that far yet. I would be utterly surprised if the Browns are 2nd in the division at the end of the year. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Steeler's in 4th and the Browns in 3rd however.
I don't think the Browns are quite "there" yet to be close to a wild card. Their defense sucks right now, they need the defense to get better (they have the talent) and they need to win 3 of the next 4 games (they are all 'winnable'). If they could then split between Cincy and Houston in the 9th/10th game that would put them at 6-4 when they get Josh Gordon back. The last 6 games are really tough, but if they are 6-4 or even 5-5 going into them, the team would be really excited, get Gordon back, and have a shot...
For a Cleveland fan, at least since 1999, that's all we can really hope for at this point.
