Not sure I like Ernie J doing baseball. He's awesome on TNT half time but not sure this his best gig.

It's unfathomable that Dunn hasn't batted.

I'd pay to watch Adam Dunn beat the fuck out of Bob Melvin.

Can't believe they let what seemed like everybody else hit and left the Dunner on the bench. They deserve the loss just for that.

wow..after that 5 run 5th, I thought Yost had blown it, but the team overcame it. I will give Yost props for knowing how to use and employing his team speed....something that Francona failed to grasp when he had Stubbs on his team last year.

Yost did blow it....but Melvin gets an assist and his team won despite him.HitsRus;1659217 wrote:wow..after that 5 run 5th, I thought Yost had blown it, but the team overcame it. I find myself pulling for the Royals. That fan base hasn't seen a playoff game in my lifetime. Even as a depraved Indians fan, I have been in attendance at double digit playoff games, including a World Series game (granted...I was 10 in 1997 so I don't think I appreciated it then like I would now). Good for Kansas City.
Anybody but Detroit.

Yost blew it with some horrible moves, but Melvin was able to help him out by keeping Lackey in too long and, then, not using his best reliever to get him out of a jam. And even then, he needed that best reliever to blow the save to take it to extra innings.
Great way to open the playoffs -- I can only hope tonight's game is nowhere near as tense. Just a nice, easy 4-1 Pirates win.

Last night was awesome.
I hate Yosts managerial style, and think KC is where they are in spite of him. I cannot imagine what Tito would do with that collection of players lol. Pulling your Ace at 88 pitches after what could have EASILY been a strikeout...in a game that he was essentially brought in to pitch. It was just ridiculous. Then all the damn bunting. I hate that. But, they win in the end, so I am happy. I am pulling for the Royals and Pirates in these games if my Vegas bets (LAA and LAD) fall flat.

That is correct. Picked the wrong rat allowed off a sinking ship so he could pitch in the postseason. God, I hope Lackey gets lit the fuck up whenever he next pitches, though.Ironman92;1659292 wrote:Lester*

But then the NL rookie ballot doesn't have Billy in the top 3.The NL ROY conversation thus boiled down to Hamilton and Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom.

Yost deserves props for nothing. His in-game management over the past 2 seasons is among the worst I've seen since.HitsRus;1659217 wrote:I will give Yost props for knowing how to use and employing his team speed.

Victory in Jesus that Schilling isn't on the broadcast....they can read his tweets all fuckin night.
I bet Bochy doesn't remove Bumgarner in the 6th with a lead and under 90 pitches
