Well, lets try to get this ironed out so we can start drafting soon. Where the fuck is Rec and why has Pick6 not responded to turtles PM.
Also need to find a replacement for CC and possibly 2 more.

I'll take 10 people willing to pay $40 over 12 at $20.Laley23;1659045 wrote:Well, lets try to get this ironed out so we can start drafting soon. Where the fuck is Rec and why has Pick6 not responded to turtles PM.

We started last year like early-mid October. First games are Friday November 14th. We have a week or two, then it's time to get going.
Also, I'd rather have 12 solid entrants, even at only $20-25. The more I see it, the basic Fantrax will be sufficient for what we need, and anything else manual, we can do on the forums. The bulk of it will be automatically calculated which is what took all the time a year ago.
Wildcats20 I think would be a solid replacement.

Well, if we can get $40 x 10, lets roll. That's 1 more of Pick6 or Rec, and anyone else. If we get more than 10 at $40, cool. However, lets set a deadline of Sunday to get everyone to confirm they are in AND in for $40. We can start drafting sometime next week once we iron out the details.

Yes, forum draft. Positions will be as listed from that site instead of ESPN, only difference.

Ohiobucks thinks he will lose and doesn't want to pay to suck, lol.
I told him the players are rated by fantrax, so research isn't as necessary to field a competitive team. Of course, I'm not sure that's true...so just asking if they do rank them like other fantasy sites??

Nice. So that's 10, with 2 unconfirmed? We have 6 in Fantrax. Need emails of everyone else and then once we have everyone in, we can tweak the scoring, settings and get ready for the draft.

Scoring is done weekly, but instead of head to head you are against the whole league, and get a score based on your weekly points.sportchampps;1659866 wrote:So how does this work I might be interested
Last year we had 12 people, so highest weekly score got 12 points for the week, 2nd highest 11, etc on down to 1. Your point score carries through the season, and at the end of the season the top 6 totals made the playoffs. Once the playoffs started it was head to head, best score for that week advances.
Points for points, rebs, assist, blocks, steals, and negative for turnovers. Azu or someone can post how they were weighted.
Since there are so many conferences for basketball, rosters last year were drafted from the 8 or 10 best leagues, with every team getting 1 "wild card" pick from any other conference.

That's the basic setup. We may tweak it a tiny bit this year, but the scoring and the point calculation will likely be very similar. Last year it was PTSx1, REBx1.25, ASTx1.5, STLx2, BLKx2 and TOx-1 = TOTAL. Each player got a total, and then your total team points was rated 1 through 12.
