^^^ we will see about that. I think that's going to be incredibly hard to enforce. I think as long as you're not an idiot you'll be ok. Guess we shall see Sunday!
EDIT: as long as it's not in a can or glass and in a plastic cup you'll be alright. Always been that way

^thats what I always thought it was, just put it in a cup and you're fine. Which is why I don't really understand what's supposedly going on.

They need to find out who is behind this "ban". Is it the Browns, or their moron Mayor Jackson.

A lot of the enforcement of these rules is coming because of whining from opposing fans about their fan "experience" at Browns games.shook_17;1655255 wrote:^^^ we will see about that. As you mentioned, it's one thing to drink responsibly and not act like an idiot, it's another to be shitfaced drunk & beligerent.

Pretty sure this is just the cracking down of an existing law/rule

I wouldn't be surprised if the team has some long term plan for a sanctioned tailgate area they can eventually try and profit off of. Since he got here Jimmy has been all about bleeding every dollar he can out of the place, so coming after the tailgating he's not profiting from wouldn't surprise me at all.
It will of course be done under the guise of improving the fan experience, but you can bet that some how the end goal of this is creating a new revenue stream for the team.

So you think the team gets none of the money from parking in the Muni lots?IggyPride00;1655288 wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if the team has some long term plan for a sanctioned tailgate area they can eventually try and profit off of. Iggy may be on to something (never thought id type that), though I'm not sure if it is the Browns responsible. I heard boaters who have been docking near East 9th for years and tailgating were greeted by city officials last week and charged something like 1.25/foot of boat.

Did you see the way Graham posted up Joe Haden at the end of the first half? That's where your boy Terrell Pryor would have made a great career in the NFL. Nobody...including all pros like Haden could stop that.On another note, we are all guilty of Monday morning quarterbacking when it comes to "poor play calling". Well I hand out kudos to Shanahan for the play setting up Cundiff for a chip shot. 15 seconds left and the Browns were 5 yards outside f. g. range. The Saints were "guarding the sticks". Shanahan's gamble was well played and the Browns made a huge play.I'm a little surprised we didn't drop the pass cuz when the game is on the line...shit happens. It was probably a good thing he tripped on the yard stripe...otherwise he might have run the clock out and be tackled at the one.Pick6;1655641 wrote:Iggy may be on to something (never thought id type that), though I'm not sure if it is the Browns responsible. I have it on good faith from those in the know that it is not the Browns who have been trying to enforce the tailgating rules. Unless Jimmy went straight to the mayor and bypassed his entire front office, it is on the city. Like I said above, the Cleveland mayor is a complete tard, so I wouldn't put it past him for trying to do this. I still doubt it happens until I hear of people actually getting tickets.

Someone was on FOX news this morning thats involved with all this and she said everyone is in an uproar over nothing. Nothing will be enforced any different than it has been in the past. If you haven't had problems before, you won't have problems now.iclfan2;1655648 wrote:I have it on good faith from those in the know that it is not the Browns who have been trying to enforce the tailgating rules. Mayor knows the popularity is growing, so he's trying to monetarily capitalize. Lol if you think this is the browns execs doing this? What would they gain?

Last Browns game I was at I saw a 350-400lb Browns fan pick up a female Browns fan (by the head) who couldn't have been more then 5' 100lbs and throw/push her about 6 rows down. Then the guy got his ass kicked by about 10 other people in our section and I'm pretty sure had people following him to his car.
The thing is maybe tailgating would have prevented this but what definitely could have prevented this was if security did something to the guy the 3 times they were called about the guy before this incident happened. People like that guy will always find a way to drink before a game. If they are really worried about violence in the stands then they need security who are willing to throw people out.
