LOL at all you who think that Browns fans will be patient with Manziel having to learn next year after sitting all year when their lord and savior Brian Hoyer is run out of town after winning 8 games (which will feel like a SB in this town).
That is how they fucked this up. This "sit and learn thing" is bullshit as nothing replicates bullets flying. There will be a strong learning curve whether he sits a year or a game, and will make the same mistakes next year as he makes this year.
Only then it will be "we should have kept Hoyer" bullshit dogging him while he works through his early mistakes and it will ruin this town as it usually does.
I question whether some of you have lived in this town or been real Browns fans for more than a minute based on some of the responses I see.
This is literally Couch/Holcomb, Anderson/Quinn all over and we will be looking for a 3rd option within the next 2 years based on how poorly Pettine/Farmer have handled this.
Anyone whose time horizon extends beyond just this season can see how what is happening right now is inevitably going to lead to disaster.

I was waiting to see how the team upsetting New Orleans in what seemed to be a feel-good moment for the new regime would be twisted and turned inside-out to be another example of how everyone's a fuck-up because Johnny wasn't given the keys to the car immediately.Crimson streak;1654221 wrote:Lol this guy kills me

This is the life of the Manziel sack swinger. These guys don't care about wins or the team, they just want their boy toy on the field.Heretic;1654228 wrote:I was waiting to see how the team upsetting New Orleans in what seemed to be a feel-good moment for the new regime would be twisted and turned inside-out to be another example of how everyone's a fuck-up because Johnny wasn't given the keys to the car immediately.

After watching him toss ducks in the preseason and that pass on Sunday, I'm not sure he does have the physical tools.Crimson streak;1654214 wrote:Exactly. Manziel just needs to sit and learn. You're giving iqqy too much credit. He isn't a manziel sack swinger, he is just a troll and will try his hardest to find a negative no matter what. If we won the SB he would talk about how farmer fucked up with the Cap space and we aren't built for long term success.BR1986FB;1654231 wrote:This is the life of the Manziel sack swinger. If some some reason he isn't a troll and actually believes the shit he spews, he's the most miserable son of a bitch in Cleveland. Don't know if I could exist if I were that miserable but I think this is just a troll job by Iggy & FW.like_that;1654234 wrote:You're giving iqqy too much credit. Have to love those who would rather be "right" and lose. When I say "have to love", I mean "have to pity someone this pathetic".BR1986FB;1654231 wrote:This is the life of the Manziel sack swinger. These guys don't care about wins or the team, they just want their boy toy on the field.

Well, if Manziel is this "Superman" they think he is, he don't need no stinkin' reps....he just needs to step on the field and he'll be good to go!queencitybuckeye;1654242 wrote:Have to love those who would rather be "right" and lose. Anyone noticed we are 31st in the league in total defense?
Aside from sabotaging the future of the franchise we also have the 2nd worst defense in the league right now.
Nice to see the pre-season is carrying over to the regular season in that regard.
Buffalo knew what it was doing when it let Pettine and O'Neil leave as they are 2-0 right now. Sammy Watkins would have looked pretty good in Orange and Brown.

One pass in a game, and a few preseason games leads you to believe he doesn't have the tools to make it in the NFL? I knew gays were dramatic, but come on COA.Commander of Awesome;1654232 wrote:After watching him toss ducks in the preseason and that pass on Sunday, I'm not sure he does have the physical tools.

I never said he couldn't improve. Just that his arm strength currently makes Quinn's look like a cannon. I got your back on this one. I think JFF is a dynamic talent and will be able to do a lot of things that Hoyer won't, but both of their ability to throw the long ball, without it "quacking" leaves a lot to be desired. Which frankly, is quite shocking because I thought Manziel was supposed to be pretty good throwing the deep ball.Commander of Awesome;1654258 wrote:I never said he couldn't improve. Did you noticed how long it took to get there? Forever. Plus had an arc. Needs to get there fast and on a frozen rope. It was a10 yd pass.SportsAndLady;1654261 wrote:Based on one throw? Lol

Can we trade Geno Smith for Manziel?
This isn't working out for us.

They let Manziel run the three plays that he knows. Maybe if he would have put in the work over the summer instead of partying all summer, he would have had a better camp.IggyPride00;1654195 wrote:As I predicted, it's 2007 all over again and they have fucked up the long term future of the franchise.
This is DA/Quinn all over again, and we will see the fallout next year and it will set the franchise back.
Hoyer will win just enough games they can't run him out of town, but Ray Charles can see he is not the long term answer.
Congrats Farmer and Pettine, you've traded long term success for short term gain.
