That is how they fucked this up. This "sit and learn thing" is bullshit as nothing replicates bullets flying. There will be a strong learning curve whether he sits a year or a game, and will make the same mistakes next year as he makes this year.

Only then it will be "we should have kept Hoyer" bullshit dogging him while he works through his early mistakes and it will ruin this town as it usually does.

I question whether some of you have lived in this town or been real Browns fans for more than a minute based on some of the responses I see.

This is literally Couch/Holcomb, Anderson/Quinn all over and we will be looking for a 3rd option within the next 2 years based on how poorly Pettine/Farmer have handled this.

Anyone whose time horizon extends beyond just this season can see how what is happening right now is inevitably going to lead to disaster.
You do realize that pretty much every single great QB in the NFL past and current not named Peyton Manning sat for awhile after being drafted right?

Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc all sat as rookies or longer.

Reality doesn't back up your opinion, but why should that surprise us?

Man, did it feel so much better on Monday morning with a win. Of course Booms still was calling for Johnny Manziel. I still think it is the most entertaining morning show, but that hillbilly is a douche calling for anyone on a Monday after beating a "good" team.

Wilson didn't sit. Kap sat out a partial season. Aikman didn''t sit. Eli didn't sit. Sims didn't sit. Roethlesburger didn't sit. Bradshaw didn't sit. Bernie sat only a short while. Luck didn't sit. RG 3 didn't sit. Marino didn't sit. Elway didn't sit. Your argument is lame...as usual. Lamonica didn't sit. Bert Jones didn't sit. Mike Phipps didn't sit. Couch didn't sit. Montana didn't sit.And those are just off the top of my head. The Browns insist on playing Wayne Kirby instead of Manny Ramirez. Same bullshit argument. There's no doubt in my mind this team would be 2-0 right now if they would play the best player at quarterback.

He sat his entire rookie season. Nice fail though. Also, anyone who needs to bring in baseball analogies to prove their point about football is a dumbass, but we already knew that about you.

Considering half of those qbs either suck or you are wrong and they did sit. Marino sat, Kap sat out 1+ seasons, Eli sucks, RG3 sucks, I could keep showing your ignorance but I will stop now.

We are 0-2 if Manziel starts and I actually like the guy.

Just off the top of my head, Montana backed up Steve Deberg his rookie year, and Marino started out his career backing up David Woodley. It's too bad for Montana and Marino that Bill Walsh and Don Shula didn't know what they were doing.

I was going to fact check every one of those QBs, so I started with Mike Phipps and LOL'd. He threw 60 passes his rookie year and 47 his second year with 1 start each year, and on top of that the guy threw 55 touchdowns in his career to 108 interceptions. So not only did he essentially sit his first 2 years but he was an extremely shitty QB. Not even worth going through everybody else on that list, lol.

RG3? Redskins fans are up in arms right now. I think it is too early to close the book on him but he isn't doing himself any favors so far this year.

I don't have a lot of the GM knowledge, types of offenses and other aspects within sports....but I know my trivia pretty damn well and I don't know who the fuck Mike Phipps is.

Phipps was the QB the Browns got when they traded Paul Warfield. It is still a very sore spot for Browns fans. It is considered the worst trade in Browns history.

We gave up Paul Warfield to get him. ^^^^^^

And I actually understand the Wayne Kirby analogy! Love it!

Anybody else notice Miles Austin catching everything is way? Hopefully he keeps it up. It can only get better when Cameron and Gordon come back.

What about the side line catch on the last drive or that huge 3rd and 1 with the CB on him like white on rice. He is getting more comfortable. He's making hard catches.
