I'm not blaming refs...I'm unaware of the rule. I thought the running clock on those plays ended with 6:00 left in the 4th.

I think when the ball carrier runs out of bounds the clock should stop. I understand keeping the game moving but I just thought with 6:00 left in the 4th that out of bounds was a stoppage of the clock.

I know, just curious of your opinion.
I think it is 2 in the first half and 5 in the second half.
Not positive.
It's 2 in both halves for NCAA.

If a ball carrier and the defender meet and no tackle is made in the field of play and runner goes out of bounds, possibly even slightly backwards....shouldn't it stop still?

Only if he is going backwards on own accord and no contact. Otherwise, forward progress is given, meaning clock will run.

Theoretically yes, that is stopping forward progress, especially in the first 28 minutes of a half.

Yes. Last 2 of the half, and last five of the game. (and OT).

Why don't you go chime in on the Coldwater "Mr. Adler" thread.

I'm not sure if Iloka flopped or not. Maybe he did. But I think Smith pushed him enough either way to warrant the OPI. Ugly game that neither team deserved to win. Dalton reverted to "Bad Andy" and made some dumb throws, along with that ugly fumble. In his defense, he's throwing to Sanu and a bunch of scrubs, though.
Good news is they have a winnable game against Jacksonville next week in which they should get Green back, along with Eifert the following week.

I dont think he flopped at all. It all happens so quick and he was a little off balance and then was tugged down. Good call.

I don't think he consciously did. He had to realize that if he flopped and didn't get the call then what? One less guy to make the tackle (which wasn't made anyways because their secondary blows sometimes)

Is Antonio Brown the best WR in the NFL this season? Think about it, he's always healthy, gets 5+ catches a game, returns kicks AND punts, and never gets hurt. If not the best, top 3 for sure.

Calvin Johnson, A.J. Green and Alshon Jeffery agree.

Anymore, being able to not miss games is maybe the most important attribute in the league.

The new buzz phrase is the best ability a guy can have is......availability.

Best WR? Not sure about that, but man he is goooooooooood.

..and thanks for jinxing him on the never getting hurt. I now expect an injury this week

CJ and AJ are routinely hurt every season. Antonio Brown is top 3 in catches, yds, TDs all while returning kicks and punts. And the guy just stays healthy, never misses a snap, let alone a game. Best WR this season easily.

He's probably the best statistically. #1 PRK on ESPN's fantasy.

What's your definition of "routinely hurt"? AJ has played in 15, 16, 16 games the past three seasons. Johnson's played in 16, 16, and 14.

And how many games a year are they decoys? If you have owned them in fantasy than you know what I'm talking about.

They've both been near the top (CJ was the top in 2011, 2012) in receiving yards/game, so I'm guessing not often. Plus I don't think neither the Bengals or Lions could survive on consistently marching out their best WRs as decoys only.
