I know now the slip bobber but never heard of the tube knot and I've fished in some very big Ohio Crappie tournaments

Box number two came today, this one from mystery tackle box. Again, only $5 for this first box.

I think quickly you'll have a bunch of shit that's never used. You are getting a lot of artificial worms and random hooks.justincredible;1663534 wrote:Box number two came today, this one from mystery tackle box. Again, only $5 for this first box.

I don't think I can complain for $5. I won't be renewing the subscriptions at $15.

I second using a live minnow for crappies. Have never used anything like you showed. Only fake stuff for crappies we use would be a jig with a wax worm.

What do you guys use for catfish? I found a decent spot on the Little Miami river this weekend and saw a few catfish swimming around along the shore.

you can't use a slip bobber without a tube knot to stop the bobber at the depth you want the line to slide to. They come pre-tied on a small tube. You thread your line thru the tube then slide the knot off. Sometimes guys will put a small plastic bead ahead of the bobber but under the knot. I can fish 20' depth with a jig / minnow and slip bobber.Enforcer;1663464 wrote:I know now the slip bobber but never heard of the tube knot and I've fished in some very big Ohio Crappie tournaments

One of my favorite ways to use a slip bobber is fishing for mangrove snapper in FL. These fish will suspend at different depths just outside the mangrove roots. The slip bobber allows me to adjust the depth of a live shrimp until I find where they are biting.

The Boundary Waters is a fantastic place. I'm going back next September on either a solo trip or with my father-in-law. It probably won't end up as a yearly destination for me, but I will try to go every 2 or 3 years for sure.Enforcer;1664375 wrote:Thats is always been a dream of mine to fish there and in Canada

The only thing you have to buy is a permit to enter the wilderness. I think it's like $9 a person.
