Anyone been to the Wine Country in Northern California? I'd like to take a trip up there in about a week or two (leaning towards Napa Valley and/or Sonoma Valley), and I was curious if anyone has any recommendations/suggestions on how to do it right (i.e., where to stay? where to go? places to eat & drink at, etc.).

Thanks in advance!

Sonoma > Napa.

That said, it's all pretty cool.

Sonoma makes wine, Napa makes auto parts.

We went to Sonoma a few years ago and it was a pretty cool trip. It was a guided day trip from San Francisco.

Drive from Winery to Winery...get out out of the car...then drink the wine. Repeat as many times as possible.

And I think weed is legal out there, so that offers the possibility of doubling the fun by getting a truly epic buzz.

PROTIP: Go for the Jilly Bean brand.

Well, if doing this, might as well have a driver. On the Jilly Bean, you don't want to have to worry about details. Mainly because it's nigh-impossible to comprehend concepts like "worry" with it.

Post #15 and still not one usable, legit piece of advice. My bet is we hit 20 before somebody actually tries to help Scarlet.

Now come on here...you are using common sense in getting a driver and that is not allowed on the OC.

Hit these:

Napa: Mondavi & Stags Leap

Sonoma: Benzinger, Gloria Ferrer, Revenswood, Lynmar, Iron Horse, & Copain if you have time.

Never been to Napa, but I do love Mondavi wine.

Scarlet, you strike me as a fedora and white zinfandel kind of guy. Just skip the trip and go to kroger. They've got white zin and the twilight sagas. Perfect night for you and your man.
