Hopefully the rain holds off. We're all headed down again tonight. Many of the Reds greats will be recognized post game. Probably my last game of the year unless they somehow get into the NLCS

HE is saying you wont be going again until 2015.

Can you imagine where this team would be if they could hit?

You may have a chance to continue your recent offensive play here. Seems a lot of Miami's more highly-regarded starters are out with one injury or another. When they just played Pittsburgh, none of their guys really rang a bell in my head, although Brad Hand (who I think you'd face Sunday) did do a good job in his start. Just make sure you don't give Giancarlo anything to hit; that dude's a beast.

Well we are 7-3 in the last 10 and 3(I think) out of the wildcard. Just keep winning.

Yeah but Eovaldi pitched 7 inn only giving up 2 hits last week against us. Hopefully they've learned his ways.

Well, not sure the delay but the past week I've noticed many of the Reds players have stopped wailing for HR and being more willing to just hit it hard somewhere....combine that with Cueto's excellence, Homer rounding in to what we expect possibly at just the right time, Latos back, Leake giving you 200 innings and Simon holding the #5 spot, schedule eased up.....don't turn off the tv yet.

It's a long ass season and the opportunity is more than there.

The NLCS is certainly a long shot....but it's a shot.

Bailey's ERA has gotten better each month and we cannot forget he basically had no spring training. Saw it a few years ago when Votto was out and they won without him...at times when the big guys are out the other guys and replacements get a chance to shine.

Before the season if someone would have given us the offensive numbers of BP, Votto and Bruce at this point there is no way we would have guessed being above .500.

Fuckin Skip Schumaker still has the demeaning pics of Bryan Price

3 straight good offensive games and all 3 without Skip anywhere around.....drives me crazy

If Negron doesn't get 2 hits today Skip will play 2nd tomorrow

You wouldn't go to the WC or NLDS?

Leake's handling of Yelich, who was a tough, tough out at Miami last week, in both of his ABs tonight has been key to him putting up zeroes in both innings.

Billy's throw hit McGehee two steps away from home plate. Doesn't that mean that if Meso was properly in front of home plate to start with that he could have gone in front of the runner, caught the ball right in front of the foul line and swipe tagged him for the 3rd out?

The problem tonight for the Reds was that the Marlins defense wasn't anything like the Cleveland defense. SS makes a great play in the 9th. The weak spot was their catcher tonight, but Billy gets too anxious and doesn't realize that he he needs to risk getting picked off to have a really good chance to steal 2nd base.

In the 9th after Negron walked I'd have him try stealing 2nd to make it a Reds win if Cozart could get a hit rather than a tie. The last time the Marlins starter pitched, we saw what good the Reds tying it late does. And there was a better than typical chance if Negron tries the steal that the catcher's row might get away and allow the tying run to score.

Leake with 9 walks now in August! But he had a quality start allowing just one run last time and an ultra quality start tonight.

Lol. Good!! I watched the tail end on tv. Such an awesome scene. Loved seeing Junior. He's what got me into baseball in my early years. No matter who comes along, he will always be my favorite player of all time. He's why I wore 24. And when he came to Cincy(albeit not a great stint), I was ecstatic.
