MLB - 4 I don't watch much but I hate how inconsistent the strike zone is.
NFL - 7 I think they do a good job handling the speed of the game. My biggest problem with them is the stuff they call really tight at the beginning of the year by league orders but then slack off quickly.
NBA - 6 my biggest gripe here is start players get certain calls and how fouls are called the final few minutes. I'm of the belief that if it's a foul in the first quarter it's a foul on the last play.
NHL - 8 Really Solid. I like that certain plays are sent to the league office for reviews.

MLS - 1 god awful refs. Some of the worst ever. When I went to get my certification to ref it was thought by a MLS ref. He was a fucking idiot. He had never played soccer in his life. I knew more about the rules then him and I was only 18. This was in 2002-2003 and I hope he doesn't ref anymore but I wouldn't be surprised with how bad they are.

NFL 7 - they generally do OK, the problem is how dumb the rules are becoming that they have to enforce. Jeff Triplette is functionally retarded
MLB 5 - call a fucking high strike. Review system has shown that they miss a lot, but then the reviewers are missing a lot too, ugh
NBA 2 - superstars having their own rulebook is why this shit is unwatchable

As an official...

1st: NHL-best in sports with minimal coverage
2nd: NFL-do a great job as well but there's 7 on the field. They shouldn't miss a damn thing, hell middle school games sometimes have only 3
3rd: MLB-biggest ego's in the business hurt them, also fairly black and white rules
4th: NBA
