I don't know anything about this case, but i was in Minneapolis yesterday and man do the local drive time radio guys hate Ventura. It was a sports show and they spent 30 minutes ripping him and the vagrants who voted him governor.

Ventura is garbage. He could have sued for $1 and it still would have cleared his name.

The jury awarded that amount. Not sure what he asked for, but I believe his estate has earned $6+ million off the book.

The guy printed falsehoods about him. Ventura sued him but he died so the money Ventura was owed for defamation was then in his wife's name. Only person to blame is the dead dude for printing lies to sell books.

In his book he talked about some famous guy he knocked out at a bar. This guy was talking shit and basically said "they deserved to lose some guys" meaning the SEALS deserved to have some guys killed.

He didnt mention him in the book.

but in another interview he said it was Ventura, or he admitted it was Ventura when someone asked if it was him.


The odd thing is this....the lawyer of the widow/estate allowed it to not be a unanimous decision to make it a good ruling. Thought that was odd and he said 'it seemed right at the time' to agree to that.
