...I was wondering what the OC'ers thoughts were on what happened to Corry Barron who went missing after the Jason Aldean concert in Cleveland and will he be found alive? The FBI is now involved in looking at surveilance tapes from the area but no leads so far.

I remember that case since I was still living in Columbus at that time. That is a horrible story - to have no closure like that. I cannot imagine what happened to him.

And he went with his family.

Supposedly it's being said that he was very intoxicated. Sad and strange all at the same time.

very fucked up situation. I just dont see how something could happen to you there in front of so many people. It's also right in the Gateway district which is a decent area. Almost have to wonder if he was meeting up with someone else. prayers for his family.

That was my first thought after hearing where the body was discovered. Fell or pushed.

I heard they think he fell down a trash chute.....

Its amazing the things that can happen to people in such crowded places. I had a friend who went out one night with a bunch of her girlfriends. She was underage and actually borrowed another one of our friends ID to get into the bar. She had done this probably 20-25 times before. She was a very casual drinker especially for her age usually only drinking at most two drinks. Well when she went out that night to Ledo's near Ohio State a guy put a drug into her drink. He waited till she began to feel it and separated from her friends to go to the bathroom. Well the guy grabbed her and led her out of the bar by pulling her through the crowd. Everyone assumed she was just another drunk girl being helped out of the place by her boyfriend. The guy then took her raped her and killed her. He left her body in the middle of a cornfield to be found weeks later. It was sad to have this happen to someone so young. Anything can happen anywhere even if your with friends and family.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group reported Tuesday evening that friends reported Mr. Barron was extremely intoxicated before he disappeared at the concert and that the Dumpster that contained Barron’s body had been at the bottom of Progressive Field, five or six stories below the upper level where Mr. Barron had been sitting for the concert.
The Dumpster was accessible by a chute that was near Mr. Barron’s seat, Cleveland police special services Commander Jim Chura told the news organization.
While he emphasized that the investigation was ongoing, Commander Chura said it was possible Mr. Barron may have fallen into or crawled into the chute.

I have been very drunk, many a time at Progressive Field and never even noticed a trash chute. Let alone wanted to take a ride.

Unbelievable story. What a shame.

Good call. The best thing for the Indians is if they can prove he was murdered. Although, they should have a good argument with the, "how many drunk assholes have walked through these concourses in the last 20 years and nobody else plummeted to their death?" argument.

The "old take a ride down the garbage chute" bet gone terribly awry. C'mon...you and your buddies have all thought about it.
