Carrasco has been looking good out of the pen. I know that wasn't what everybody hoped for, but at least that salvages something out of the Lee trade. I still see him as a possible set up or closer.

Bauer goes 6 and gives up 3. Tribe doesn't appear interested in scoring this afternoon.

Trailing 3-1 in the 8th. Twins batting. Need to get out of this and then somehow manage 2 off of Perkins in the 9th to extend. Appear likely to drop the series and give back what we gained in Detroit. Frustrating.

This has been our season in a nutshell, taking one step forward and two steps back. Yes, very frustrating.

I noticed, while looking up Shaw's stats yesterday, that he had a great WHIP and his ERA was down to a point where it was easy to tell he must be really putting up good peripherals since being moved to the pen. Always thought he had good stuff, but just didn't work as a starter due to things like consistency and being able to get through the order multiple times. If he can grade out to be a solid late-inning guy, that's still a pretty good thing to have, even if it wasn't the plan.

Well, it was a fun 5 series run. Hopefully I won't be needed again this year. I think we can get back on track this weekend.

ugh! :(.....this just is so typical of the team this year. They make a run only to trash it the next series. Streaky...and not necessarily in a good way.

Half of the AL is within striking distance of that 2nd wildcard. Will be interesting to see who the buyers and sellers are over the next week.

^^^Hopefully, you're not flying to the middles east!...have a good trip and we'll keep the 'stove' warm while you're gone.

Id start the next thread, but if we won the Royals series we'd be SOL on the next one!!
